That was what Michael Copper was saying to. THe Lakers should apply the no-layup policy. If Shaq is gonna commit any stupid fouls (reach in fouls), he might as well make sure that Parker thinks twice before coming to the basket. If Malone does it, he is automatically dirty, but I don't care, he built up that reputation and he should stick with it.


Posting up Payton will help the Lakers a lot. Phil Jackson has to take advantage of every mis-match he can get against this defense. Parker isn't playing any defense on the idle Payton, he is just resting up and getting ready to run. Taking Payton to the block can lead up to foul trouble for Parker, easy buckets, double-teams, and even if he does miss, Parker won't be at half-court by the time Spurs get a rebound.

just to defend myself, I will use a stat. Over 160 7 game series have started off 2-0, with 7 teams being able to come back from 2-0 to win. If LA fell behind 3-1 to Orlando I would expect them to come back and win. 1 vs 8 is different then 2 vs 3.

I just don't think San Antonio will lose 4 out of 5 games to LA, even if all 5 were being played in Staples.

The Fakerz had a 2-0n-1 advantage with Kobe/Shaq vs TD, but now that Parker has emerged this season, it's a washout b/c they both cancel out the other 2 in pts. it comes down to the role players &amp; bench which the Spurs have the advantage over the Fakerz. When the Fakerz won the 3 championships, the Spurs team was made up of an injured Robinson &amp; spot up shooters, but now we have guys who can shoot &amp; also create shots &amp; space for themsleves in TP, Gino, &amp; Stephen Jackson from last yrs run. Even Popovich himself said the difference has been the athtetism in this yrs team compared to last.
Sorry Faker fans, but Rush, Walton, Medovenko &amp; GP &amp; Mailman can't match Gino, TP, Rose, Devin Brown.
We should wn this series, just a matter of whther it's in 4 (sweep) or 5. </font>
