You can say what you want about Kidd as a coach, but in the very least, Milwaukee's new owners aren't messing around the way Herb Kohl did. They mean business.

If this move backfires, the draft picks won't kill us. But if it works out, this could be a huge move for the franchise.

Here's what the Milwaukee owners had communicated to coach Larry Drew about negotiating a deal for his job w/ Jason Kidd: Nothing.
Whether he sucks or not, you don't do stuff like this. Milwaukee better pray that Kidd works out because **** like this hurts your reputation with other coaches.

Before the media made it such a huge deal about how he didn't know they were interviewing Kidd, most people thought he pretty much knew he was going to be fired. I really don't think it's a big deal.

Hell, just last year, the Hawks interviewed and hired Budenholzer while telling Drew they might be interested in giving him an extension.

Dirk puttin up numbers like it's nothing still, 22 and 50% shooting and still leading his team to the playoffs. That's a superstar, he probably has one year left of being at that level.

The media made it a huge deal? Dude it's always a huge deal when a team is interviewing coaches while they already have one.

As for trying to spin this to be okay because "he pretty much knew he was going to be fired." When? Next season? We're well past the point coaches typically get fired, you know when everybody else fired their coaches. If he was going to be fired, why didn't they do it already? He still has a job right now technically. This isn't okay man.

Maybe he works better with younger guys vs people that he played against and closer in age to him.

Plus, the bottom line, he's better than what we have now.

Back in the early 90's, the Bucks paid a ransom for Mike Dunleavy Sr to the Lakers, I think a 1st round draft choice was included.
True. You guys are in rebuild (a better rebuild than us with those two wings you have).
The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.

Seems like Kidd and the Bucks organization deserve each other.

We'll see how things play out. I'd be shocked if Drew didn't see the writing on the wall when the new owners came in considering pretty much everybody expected Drew and Hammond to get the can shortly after the draft took place. It sounds like Hammond's just might be safe for the moment, but Drew being fired isn't really shocking news. The "usual timeline" kinda goes out the window when the new owners got to Milwaukee about a month ago.

This word superstar....what does it mean anymore? It gets tossed around so much I don't think people really know or respect what its all about. If a player isn't a top tier talent that a team can use as a center piece for making title runs then he isn't a superstar. Bottom line. Guys like Chris Bosh are not superstars. James Harden, not a superstar (even though he and Bosh aren't on the same level). We know superstars when we see them, their obvious, they stand out. KB, LBJ, TD, KD ect.

Al Jefferson threw up 22 and 50% shooting, while also averaging 10 rebounds a game but he's not a superstar? He's a star no doubt and a heck of a post player but not a superstar.

The only coach they've held on to for More than a year was Avery Johnson. The worst coach of the 6. Lol man I can't stand that guy, especially as an analyst Jesus, what was ESPN thinking?
