True. I really believe Rose doesn't really reach out because it doesn't do anything. If dude's want to come here they will. But mostly nobody comes here and the Bulls will end up with Pau Gasol or some **** like that.

Little of both probably. He's an alright defender, but he's brutal in terms of offense and rebounding.

@ESPNSteinLine: RE: rumbles Raptors already on verge of locking up Kyle Lowry ... all I can pass along is undeniable confidence from Raps about keeping him

@ESPNSteinLine: Miami's interest in Lowry is undeniable, but keep hearing Raps feel good about their chances with offer poised to start in $12 mil range

@HowardBeck: Also of note: Kidd's contract is not expected to include any clause granting him final authority over personnel.

I think it would work better on a player not as mature like Dwight or Kyrie. If melo is not going to jump at first chance to play under Phil Jackson, then I would think he's clearly giving this a lot of thought. I honestly thought bringing on Phil would've sealed the deal by now. But maybe it's just a ploy, and they are just waiting to announce tomorrow.

phils great and all, but where does that get you if theres not championship talent on the team? 1 all star isnt winning you anything\\

e Dallas Mavericks and Vince Carter have a strong mutual interest to agree upon a new contract, but he is also expected to receive interest from the Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers and Toronto Raptors. Carter averaged 11.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 24.4 minutes per game last season despite being 37.

If Payton is the playmaker and defender he's built up to be, and Gordon becomes the defender he's built up to be that could be a very nasty defensive team in a year or two.

Realistically I would like them to target a guy like Monroe to start at PF and leave Harris in that 6th man role, he was a monster off the bench last season. And his production isn't very telling because he struggled for awhile initially returning from injury.

But I'm actually pretty excited to see where this team is headed. If they can keep all these guys around it could be a pretty good team to watch.

I do like all 5 players, but a lineup of Payton/Oladipo/Gordon/Monroe/Vucevic would be one of the worst 3 point shooting lineups this league has ever seen.

I do not at all think LeBron is leaving, but I got to admit he and Melo going to Phoenix would be an insane team to watch. Phoenix already used their guys as stretch 4's with Frye and Morris, and Melo would be vastly better than them.

LeBron gives them more consistent offense on the wing, easy upgrade over PJ.

Plenty of outside shooters, plenty of defensive players, solid young big men, highly efficient guards. That team would be a handful.

Probably so. Which sorta has me baffled why they didn't keep Lamb, he's cheap and they need the extra shooters..

But Harkless, Moore, and Dipo all shot decent from 3 last season.

I guess they could sign a shooter and move Gordon to the bench, but a Payton/Oladipo/Gordon backcourt could potentially be the best defensive backcourt in the league.

We keep using 2010 as the baseline for this though, regardless of what we believe about that, it was ONE summer. Team visits have been going on a long time....and they are definitely won and lost based on what the team presents.

Yeah I agree. That lineup has dominant potential defensively. Especially if you could go get a big man who was a great rim protector. My concern with Orlando is just will they have enough offense? Gordon and Payton are both going to be really good players, but both are gonna really struggle to shoot the ball. If Gordon is playing the 3 (and that's where I think he'll spend most his time) then your spacing is going to be terrible. I just wonder how they are gonna make it work. Regardless, it should be a fun team to watch.

When you look at Chicago and Indiana, good defense is what will win you games in the East.
