    Re: Shaq to the Heat

Sorry to say Shaq's better years are behind him. Especially if he goes to the Heat. He can still be the most dominating player until he's 40, but only if he gets back into shape. If that doesn't happen, he plays no more than two or three more years.
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

Shaq is only 32. I could see him playing 8 more years anyway. Most big men play till they are about 40 and with his strenghth I could see him being effective longer than that. Remember they said Wilt used to come to Lakers practice when he was in his 50's and dominate.

Shaq works out.......Didn't any of you guys see MTV Cribs where he had a gym in his house. His pool is nice too.

Anyways, I see Shaq getting motivated to play for any other team. Shaq works when he wants to and if he gets his defense and rebounding and most importantly FT SHOOTING back to 2002 form, I don't see if the Heat can even be touched in the East except by Detroit. With Shaq, you really don't need alot of frontcourt help. I mean can you name 3 frontcourt players from the Lakers 3 peat besides Shaq?? Then you got Wade who can be the next Penny with Shaq and Eddie Jones and Caron Butler who are strong finishers that can benefit from Shaq's passing skills. All you need to do now is find a low cost 3 point shooter.
