Honestly I don't care if Kobe starts at the 3. The defense will be awful, but Russell and Clarkson get to play together, which is good because they're most likely going to be our starting backcourt of the future. Then when Kobe is gone we can find a small forward next free agency.

Doubt Kobe retiring after this season just me thoughComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
If it happens it'll be interesting to see how Joe handles being a 4th scoring option. I guess if he wants a ring he'll shut up and fit in lol.
He would be huge for them as a scoring punch when LeBron sits, which he could do much more often with Joe around.

I also like this trade because it would assure JR Smith doesn't come back.Last edited by cima; 07-05-2015, 04:53 PM.Comment

Jeremy Evans to Dallas 😔
He's one of my favorites. Great guy. Did charity work and stuff around the community despite his murky future in Utah. Hope he gets a chance in Dallas.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
I assume there's some cap guy that'll work magic for the Cavs, but Joe Johnson is making a little under 25 million dollars this season, I don't know how the Cavs trade for him, re-sign TT, re-sign Bron and then still bring in West.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
I believe West would be signed either by vet minimum or some cap exception, though not sure if JJ would negate that cap exception or not. Either way, the luxury tax bill is gonna be insane if this trade goes down.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
I think Evans will be able to give them something similar to Aminu. Not a bad pick up.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
I'm not sure how it would work either, or if it's even possible.
Haywood + Andy is 20+ mil though.
Could they sign LeBron before, West before and then make the trade? Sign Thompson after that.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
As for Lebron I'm not completely clear on it but apparently there are non bird rights where teams can resigned their own players. A Cavs twitter account mentioned that at some point. Not sure how it works though.Comment

Lakers got lou for 7m a year? All this time they were saying it'd cost 9m for him.....
And phenom,i meant that raptors made abunch of notable signings that improved their team. Lowry was a resigning, and salmons deal was 1 transactionComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Not sure, they're contracts together are 20,161,054, Joe is 24,894,863 and TT has a 11,916,019 cap hold, not to mention Bron's 21 million dollar hold.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
All I know is that if this trade does go through and they land West, it's kind of unfair how stacked CLE and SA will be. SA won't be paying near the bill that CLE will though.Comment
