I read a reporter on msn say Rondo might go to Sacramento to play with Cousins ...? With George Karl the coach there, what could go wrong?

Just took Thurs off from work so I can sit at home pressing F5 from 12:01am through the end of 4th of July weekend.

You'll be the first to know that Rondo is joining the Knicks.

That means I get to be the first to start drinking too.

We're good there though (relatively speaking) with Grant and Jose, not that Phil would entertain the idea of Rondo anyway.

This is the stupidity that ThreeKing is buying into regarding Jimmy Butler. Some Laker homer (one would have to assume) from the LA Daily News who doesn't even know how NBA rules work.

The phone calls between NBA executives and agents will soon become endless both late at night and early in the morning. Shortly after free agency begins on Tuesday at 9:01 p.m. PST, NBA teams will …

Lastly, Chicago forward Jimmy Butler hopes to take his talents elsewhere and take advantage of the new television deal after his career year coincided with Tom Thibodeau’s firing and Derrick Rose’s chemistry issues. Although Butler wants to sign a one-year deal with the Lakers, according to a league source familiar with his thinking, the Bulls are expected to match any offer for the restricted free agent.

“There is no definitive answer on what each marquee free agent should do,” another NBA agent said. “It depends on each player and their set of circumstances.”
Teams can't offer restricted free agents one year deals, but yes, league sources are telling us that Jimmy wants to sign with the Lakers for one year. Yawn.

Also, Jimmy had dinner with Thibs on Friday night, so naturally hack reporters are running with the angle that the dinner is about Thibs trying to get Jimmy to leave the Bulls after his firing. Nothing at all could possibly be going on but Thibs launching his master plan to sabotage his former team lol.

LaMarcus Aldridge and his mother are apparently setting up a meeting with the Raptors.

                    He's also a two-way player.

I'd like this if we can get him signed.
I like Afflalo's game, he's lit the knicks up more than a few times. If he has anything left in the tank he'd be a great pickup.

Jimmy can make things difficult though. And you can't deny that there isn't a possible rift between the two.

Question: If both Rose and Butler go into your office and say, 'It's either one of us, or none of us, because you can't have both,' who do you choose?

Not saying this would happen, I just want to see who people think is more important to the Bulls current and future success.

Do you guys have the cap space for him though?

He would be an awesome fit

We have max contract room and then some. Cap space certainly isn't an issue.

I think he's a terrible fit as is, though. Lowry and DD are high-usage players as is, bringing in LMA adds a third. If it leads to a DD trade, though, I'd be very, very happy with that scenario, especially if we get something of valuable for Demar. Lowry/?/James Johnson/LMA/Val is a really nice lineup depending on who the 2 is, methinks.

They're prob just gonna use Raptors as leverage to get better contact from another team. Don't see him at all going to Toronto.

Might sound crazy, but I'd rather Raptors go after Tristan Thompson than Aldridge, cause I see Thompson just staying here for remainder of his career,Aldridge I just see bolting if Raptors become bad. And Thompson won't cost as much(Aldridge will likely just get the max),so that money could be used on extra depth which the team also needs.
