Hopefully we sign Millsap instead, honestly, but I'd still like to move Demar.

Yeah I didn't figure yall would. Don't really have a reason to right now.

Some interesting bench C options in free agency this year. If Raptors come out of free agency this year with no solid backup C...something is wrong.

Also, David Aldridge suggested that Raptors should go after Tobias Harris. It'd be great if they did. Get Harris as starting SF,keep Lou on at SG,sign Aldridge, and then trade DeRozan.

I will say this, despite Bernstein being a complete and utter turd of a journalist, I wouldn't be surprised if there was some validity to Butler's frustration with the direction the team headed after the return of Rose. The identity crisis we suffered from reared it's head more often than not.

If the Bulls have any sense whatsoever, and if Hoiberg is half the coach they make him out to be, they will make it Jimmy's team next season. In 2015, he is our greatest asset and it's really not that close.

Doesn't Harris want max money? And he can't shoot threes? Gross. Why not keep JJ for approximately .01% of the price tag?

Please don't be disillusioned by Lou's 6th man award and song. He's not worth 3/27.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

The bigger issue with this team's identity was forgetting that they made they're bread and butter on defense first. Offensively they were fine going into the playoffs, but playing like crap on defense eventually caught up to them.

How much is Clifford involved in these moves?
I get not wanting to pay Biyombo more than, say 7M, but you have to extend the QO. Worst case scenario you don't match whatever offer he gets but it doesn't matter since by not extending the QO it's basically letting him go.
That frontcourt not looking very pleasing at the moment, redundant basically.

Oh without question. That was definitely the biggest problem. But there was also plenty of the, "stand around and let Rose do whatever" offense to boot. There was never a sense that the team really learned how to play together on either ends of the floor.

You wouldn't pay Lou 9M a year when the cap is gonna be around 90M?

Unless they just tell him to ignore offense and grab boards and play defense

That's still kinda ehh. He's redundant on this team. He's very young but he can't shoot threes and SF isn't our biggest issue.

I appreciate what Lou did for the team. But with Casey as coach and Lou with carte blanche on offense, ehh. That's a lot of change for someone who's going to chuck a lot with no direction from a coach. I wish Casey was gone (I was saying that after the Brooklyn series, got blasted, and am patting myself on the back here haha) and Lou was a better fit, but it's a business.

I think Millsap should be our biggest target. Gasol as well. The LMA meeting is encouraging. One of those guys + Brendan Wright + Danny Green + trading Demar for an asset would be a phenomenal dream offseason.

Do y'all think it's too farfetched for Jimmy Butler to do what Greg Monroe did and come back for one year on the qualifying offer so he can be an UFA next season? Maybe take out a large insurance policy. He'll have to suffer another year of being the most underpaid player in the league.
