That's if you think he was actually going to leave in the first place.

Personally, I've said all year that I don't see him going anywhere regardless of how they did in the playoffs and thought he would do a 2 year deal(he's getting a max deal regardless but he's gets more in 2 years if he waits)since it would be around the time that Westbrook and Ibaka's contracts expire.

Lakers and Celtics could be competing for the same free agents and players on the trade block. Which is worrisome because the Lakers have more cap space, better draft position, and play somewhere NBA players want to live.

Well Magic did say the Lakers would/should go get Durant and LeBron this offseason and we all know Magic never says anything stupid or nonsensical or anything like that....

True. If Magic and SAS say it's happening then it's happening. You can be in denial though it's ok.

I don't see how joining the Lakers or Heat would be better than staying with the Cavs from a talent standpoint.

The truth is though, if they do win the title and he left, Cleveland fans wouldn't even be mad; he'd be in God status for life because he got them that title.
Correction: They wouldn't be AS mad. Trust, they'd still be mad if he left... especially if it's handled as poorly as the last time.

True but I think they'd more sad/upset rather than mad. That city is STARVING for a title, so it would definitely lessen the blow by miles.

I just can't see it happening though, especially after penning that letter coming back home. If he did leave, I'd feel he'd pen another letter but what reasons would he have to leave? "I promised a title to Cleveland, I delivered, so now I'm gonna go win for another city?" Go back to Miami to win the rest of the "not 5, not 6, not 7"? Would be interesting for sure but I think it's just Stephen Grade A bull****.

Anybody else thinks the Knicks should look to move Anthony this summer ? I don't get why they'd keep him around, might aswell go in full rebuild mode. Make a deal with the celtics, get some picks. It'd work out for both teams. Off course Melo would have to agree but why woudn't he really.

Phil should have just let that man come to Chicago. I wonder how different things would be had he?

Hindsight being 20/20 Phil should've let that bum go to Chicago. Melo has been nothing but a headache just about everywhere he's been.

Your team is about to give DeMar DeRozan a max, I suggest you sit this round out.

Come back "home" across the river, Melo.

I'm sure you got a spot in Williamsburg anyway, so you wouldn't really be moving.

Low blow. 23 should review this and give you a suspension (in case he has the right angle)

That crook Stephen A. Smith. Stealing America's time and money.

Love how he says LeBron is leaving if he wins one. It's great because if the Cavaliers lose, he can say, "Like I said, he's not leaving until he wins one!"

But if Cleveland wins and he stays, "I'm hearing word now that LeBron was so excited about this team, so proud of how Love and Irving played, that he wants to stay. I had lunch with Dahntay Jones and he told me that LeBron thinks Cleveland is the place for him to win the multiple titles he wants to win."
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer
