    re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread

Marvin Williams and Cole Aldrich are 2 guys I'm thinking could be realistic targets for Raptors. Aldrich would be a nice, cheaper replacement for Biyombo(Aldrich is one of few C in the league with DRTG under 100 the past 3 years). Williams could start at PF(and occasionally swap with Carroll on D), and space out the floor with his 3pt shooting. One of better 3&D forwards in the league the past 2 years(borderline top 5 among forwards who have 3pt% over .355 and DRTG 103 or lower).

I'd re-sign DeRozan & James Johnson(backup SF), sign those 2 guys as well. And then trade Ross(and maybe Wright in that package since Joseph/Lowry combo has Wright rarely playing).

Just too bad it's too unrealistic to think they could trade up and draft Bender(since I highly doubt something like Ross + 9th + Wright could move them up high enough to draft him). They could afford to take on another project guy.

Curious to know if there were no NBA top assistant job offers. Were there not any or was he not interested in that type of position? I had read Blatt wanted to stay in the NBA a few weeks back.
He wanted to stay in the NBA, but he's at the point in his career where he isn't going to accept being in the second chair, and give his success, including his short NBA stint, he's totally justified.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Call me a homer but I think Portland could be a good fit lol.

Clippers guard Austin Rivers has decided not to exercise his player option for next season & will test free agency this summer. @ASM_SPORTS

Clips Wes Johnson will not pick up his player option for next season at $1.2 million, per agent. But Johnson would like to return to Clips

Wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Rivers in BK since we need a PG anyway.

Love to see what Atkinson could do with him. Already can't wait to see what he does with Rondae this year.

I like Rivers in Brooklyn. Agreed.

I'm still not happy Atkinson is there. Such a good hire.

Why should someone exercising free agency be hated?

This isn't the old days when players were stuck forever with one team.

I'm sure some fans in OKC will resent Durant for leaving. Thunder are all they have when it comes to professional sports franchises and the fans seem to really love their team.

Durant has given them 10 good years.

Does he owe them all of his career?

The Thunder fans didn't have much sympathy for the Seattle fans when the team was ripped from them.

If they love the team they can support whomever the team acquires to replace KD if he should leave.
