Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Thompson, James, and Jefferson create a better defensive starting unit against GSW. Love is a liability against this specific team. A lack of athleticism shows when Love is forced to act as a rover defensively. Jefferson does a superior job in the role against this bunch.Comment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
The K Love dilemma is pretty simple, no?
- Cavs starters looked far better on both offense and defense without him in the lineup
- Cavs' bench still sucks and is not getting any scoring
Solution? Have Love take Frye's 12-15 minutes off the bench. Now he's the #1 scoring option, which he has shown he's more than capable of being.
Also, Cavs were -10 with Delly on the floor last night, the only Cavs player in the negative. I think he may be done or extremely limited going forward.Comment

Apologies for the double post.
These are the NBA Finals. You adjust to put yourself in the best position to win against the opponent across from you. If that means Love has to accept a lesser role, so be it. Can't just force minutes because of a contract.Comment

Celtics have a couple of mid-round 1st and some 2nd's for these bums Curry and Love since they can't get it together for their teams in the NBA Finals.
Sign KD and bring back my boy KPerk at Center (and enforcer) and we'll have ourselves "not one, not two, not three, not four...."My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Hell, even Kyrie was damn near a liability on both ends of the floor in the first 2 games.#RespectTheCultureComment

James at PF helps a ton, but of you insert Love into Jefferson's spot, I'm not sure James is enough on defense to help make up for Love's lack of athleticism.Comment

I didn't phrase my post right. I meant to say you are going to pay $40+ to ride the pine if you move Love. And that fact is funny. Now it is the right decision, they played much better from what I saw in highlights and the limited time I saw while flipping and after the show I was watching ended.Comment

But usually is a team is great on the defensive end, you can always get away with hiding an average/bad defender on a team. Always easier to hide 1 on a great defensive team than trying to hide 3 on an average defensive team.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
The Cavs 2 most used lineups thus far have been:
#1: Irving/Smith/LeBron/Love/Thompson
2 games, 32 minutes. -8.9 net rating
#2: Irving/Smith/Jefferson/LeBron/Thompson
2 games, 22 minutes. +40.9
Irving/Smith/Jefferson/LeBron/Love has a -16.1 net rating
Irving/Smith/Shumpert/Jefferson/LeBron has a -58.9 net rating
And the worst lineup of all that has spent 6 minutes together:
Delly/Shump/Jefferson/LeBron/Frye has a -74.2 net rating. This is the same lineup that killed other 2nd units in the playoffs.
Depending how much you weigh into these kind of numbers, which you don't have to because you can just use your eyes too, the starting lineup they went with last night is clearly their best option as of right now.Comment
