http://stats.nba.com/league/lineups/...sort=MIN&dir=1
The Cavs 2 most used lineups thus far have been:
#1: Irving/Smith/LeBron/Love/Thompson
2 games, 32 minutes. -8.9 net rating
#2: Irving/Smith/Jefferson/LeBron/Thompson
2 games, 22 minutes. +40.9
Irving/Smith/Jefferson/LeBron/Love has a -16.1 net rating
Irving/Smith/Shumpert/Jefferson/LeBron has a -58.9 net rating
And the worst lineup of all that has spent 6 minutes together:
Delly/Shump/Jefferson/LeBron/Frye has a -74.2 net rating. This is the same lineup that killed other 2nd units in the playoffs.
Depending how much you weigh into these kind of numbers, which you don't have to because you can just use your eyes too, the starting lineup they went with last night is clearly their best option as of right now.#RespectTheCultureComment

On that note, Warriors death lineup (12 minutes together) is net +14.3, their starting lineup (25 minutes together) is net -33 and their most effective lineup (11 minutes together) has been Livingston/Barbosa/Iggy/Barnes/Green at net +74.8Last edited by cima; 06-09-2016, 02:51 PM.Comment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
In my opinion Love needs to come off the bench for Cleveland to try and replicate that hot start.
Lue can find various lineups to work him in and out of throughout the course of the game, he can be the scoring focal point any time LeBron or Kyrie sits.
He moves the ball well, rebounds well, has hedged on to the shooters well. So theoretically he should be able to fit into any lineup.

Just wish they would let us match lineups with opposing lineups as well instead of just comparing lineups used only by them(or any team).#RespectTheCultureComment

I'm one of the few that puts more stock into advanced metrics than basic stats like PPG, 3PT%, APG, etc. Of course, context is important as well.

Well IIRC, the majority of the minutes from the Cavs starting lineup with Jefferson came against primarily the starting lineup and the death lineup

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Bogut wasn't the sole reason GSW was down 2-1 last year before Kerr discovered his lineup of death...it's not about saying Love is a bad player so sit him, just like it wasn't about Bogut then..I don't even think it's about Richard Jefferson....dude is a 35 year old SF at the end of the day...
buy I really like Bron at the 4, the hands/speed on defense and the idea of Love in that second unit....guess we'll see what Lue does...but I don't think thre decision is a no brainer....regardless of what Love makesComment

It didn't specify in the link you provided, but that's neither here nor there.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Love could be the highest paid player in the world, if he is detrimental to the team then he should come off the bench. Being 2-1 down in the Finals is no time for big names and egos, effectiveness is what counts and the lineup in Game 3 was much more effective. Love and Jefferson will earn as much regardless.Comment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
I personally don't think Love is a detriment, I just think him coming off the bench opens up some opportunities...
I'm sure we'll hear much about how 'Michael Jefferson Jordan' couldn't save the Cavs of they lose though...
All I ask is for ONE close game this series...lolComment

Probably will be overshadowed by all the talk of LeBron being saddled with trash again isn't fair to his Finals record.

Bron needs more help
Steph needs more health
We'll get some steamin' hot takes either way...
I prefer some good ol' basketball talk like we had above though..Comment
