First time seeing it since the game, but some great individual D from James...
WTF is Kyrie doing off ball though, goodness lol"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
only lebron had an outside shot i would give the cavs a shot, no pun intended. the cavs are too dependent on lebron getting inside the lane. he's not the same guy as he was a couple years ago.Comment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Livingston went 8-9 in January, and the other game GS blew out CLE so he only scored a 4 points going 2-2... Don't think he had to do much that game
What I see is that he is a mismatch for them, no matter if he scores 8-10 or not. The size matchup is a problem.
When Kenny Smith and Isaiah Thomas stood next to him in the post game interview he made them look little, so Irving and Dellavadova are pretty much the same in comparison...that's a problem in the post.Comment

Yeah when I saw that stat I was wondering why they just skipped that series lol. Maybe an after the "decision" stat.

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Why is this even a thing? Isn't it a team thing?
Im sure the Miami Heatles had alot to do with that as well...
Like stuff like this with no context trying to make a statement by sites like ESPN are annoyingComment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
It's not missing context though. The last 9 series he's lost game 1 in his teams went on to win game 2.. That's the entire context, nothing missing from it?
It's one of those pointless ESPN stats for sure, but it's not really missing any context.

Well, it would be interesting to know how many of those series he won, how many series overall he played in over that stretch, or what round each of those series was in. Another article said that the stat is from 2009-present, fwiw.
It's just another random stat that doesn't tell you much, but that people (journalists) are trying to push on us as evidence that Game 2 is critical.Last edited by dubcity; 06-04-2016, 05:09 PM.Comment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
So Lebron has never been down 0-2 in the playoffs?
Or hasn't been down 0-2 in a long time at least.
That could be a pretty good indication of how tough-minded and smart he's been, able to make adjustments and get better results.
Was it last year that Chicago went in and beat them in game 1 at Cleveland? But then they won game 2 and came back in the series, including one game-winning shot where Blatt called some play at the end of the game and LBJ overruled him and took the shot himself, which he made to win the game.Comment

The stat I read said "Since 2009, LeBron is 9-0 in the 2nd game of a playoff series after losing the first game" which is actually true(but convenient to leave out the earlier ones lol). Overall in those series he's 6-3 with the series losses coming against the Magic('09 ECF), Spurs('14 Finals), and Warriors('15 Finals).
4 of those series were in the NBA Finals(2-2), 3 in the ECF(2-1), and 2 in the semis(2-0).Indianapolis Colts
