it would have dramatically change game 1 or past series against lebron. lol remember the mavs series? they just played a zone against lebron b/c he couldn't shoot. and as someone just pointed out, it seems to have gotten worse. what happen to his improvement when he was in miami? right now, the warriors just have to body lebron in the post and contest his drives. the warriors have enough bodies to slow down lebron and put all the pressure on the other players.

You still didnt really explain how it would have dramatically effected the game though...your kind of stuck on this jumpshot thing man and attribute it to every loss regardless, lol

The Warriors aren't playing LeBron like the Mavs in 2011 or even the Spurs...

Playing faster, ball movement and getting guys open with GSW switching every thing is a lot more important than LBJ nailing pull ups

how many points would lebron have with a jumper in game 1... 35, 40 or 50? the more shots he puts in the hole. it emboldens everyone else on the court. when lebron misses, they miss--especially on the road. it puts more pressure on the role players to carry the day.

Thing is the Warriors went after kyrie hard.

At least to exploit his defense.

Livingston Barbosa and Barnes all looked to score on him and the Warriors moved the ball around to get it to Livingston as long as kyrie was on him.

Can't wait to see what adjustments the teams make but they went for blood.

That's what makes GSW the team they are, they exploit all their mismatches...just all around great awareness on the court

You mean...like a few of us said would happen when the "Kyrie and Love are healthy Cavs will win" crowd was popping off? We'll see what adjustments are made moving forward, but after 1 there's certainly a difference from just slapping Delly out on the court for damn near 38 minutes to just hug people on defense with no other real responsibility on the floor and having Kyrie out there being a liability on defense and dribbling the air out of the ball on offense.

Cavs are saying all the right things about needing to move the ball next game.

I think they will. They'll make a conscious effort to move the ball. I'm not so sure that simply moving the ball would have resulted in a win Thursday. Prevented the game from ending in blowout fashion? I'd like to think so. Resulted in a win though? Hard to say it would have though. They have more than ball movement to clean up

                      Ball movement or defenive movement?

Anytime kyrie switches im curious to see what they're going to do.

And I'm sure steph and klay wont be the derozan lowry of game 2

Curry last year shot an ungodly percentage in the playoffs, especially corner 3s where he was like high sixties or over 70%.

                        Warriors could use that Curry.

23, what's the percentage on teams winning the series down 0-2?

Movement OFF the ball is/was the bigger issue than ball movement for the Cavs.

You can move the ball with 5 guys standing in the same spot but what good is it against opposing defenses when nobody is moving when they don't have the ball in their hands?

That's the part they need to figure out coming into tonight and I think they will. Defensively, I think they have the right mindset about how they want to defend GSW so I don't think they need to make any extreme changes on that end.

Lue basically said "they switch 1 through 5" about 10 times in his presser and his conclusion was when they switch, it basically makes the only options one-on-one iso ball. He said the key is to exploit the switches and take advantage of LeBron/Love in the post with those mismatches.

They likely won't change anything here...opens up too many other issues.

They just need Kyrie to take some pride in his defense. They aren't picking on him because he's physically limited. He's 6'3 and string enough to create space on 7 footers and finish. He can use those same strengths on defense..

His attention to detail is just awful.

Kevin Love on the other has played some tough defense...I swear I've never seen him go for as many blocks as I have last game.
