Bad trade for Boston, IMO.

Cleveland gets I.T. AND Crowder; but then they threw in the (lottery) pic too??? For a guy that said he wanted to be traded! Boston acted like they had no leverage when it was Cleveland that had no leverage. Wow, Boston gave up waaaaay to much! And a Center too? Wow.

Kyrie not even a natural fit for Brad Stevens the way IT was. I guess they're gonna try to make it work though.

It's almost like Celtics did this deal JUST to break up the Cavs Big 3.

Unless there is something about IT (health or otherwise) behind the scenes we don't know about...

Forgetting who wins, loses, whatever.

This move by Boston is exactly why I never get mad at guys for leaving via free agency to wherever the heck they want to go.

Thomas was out there pimping Boston to free agents. He thought he was untouchable. And he got dealt.

There is no loyalty from the owners. I will never understand why fans think there should be loyalty from the players.

This is going to take some getting used too.



After sleeping on it, I still think Cleveland made out like bandits in this trade, but I'm excited to see what Brad can do with Kyrie, Hayward and the young guys.

NBA 2K should've been all over this first. Be THE first official release of Kyrie in Celtics jersey. They'll have to re-do the cover, but I'm guessing it's just gonna be photoshopped Celtics jersey like Madden did with Favre, rather than bring him in to do a new cover shoot. If that's the case, then someone should've had photoshopped versions of him in all teams jerseys ready to go whenever he was dealt. Not like him being traded came out of nowhere.

Maybe in time the sting created by moving on from the one player in all of Boston (in any sport) I never wanted to see gone will subside, but here I am a day later still bummed as I was the second it became official.

I will never hear Tommy say "The Little Guy" as only he can during a Celtics telecast again. *sigh*

Yeah, they'll have to tough it out with Kyrie. Instead of the 5'9 IT. Probably gonna be an 8 seed.

How times does it have to be said, we didn't want Butler. And Kevin Pritchard was not willing to wait a week to get a similar package for Paul George. I'm guessing we would've traded one of Tatum or Brown, Crowder and the Brooklyn pick for George. But there was an order of operations that needed to happen first. The first was signing Gordon Heyward, then they could've made the move for Butler/George/Davis or anyone else's name that was out there in trade talks. If we traded for Butler or George before free agency started we would NOT have been able to sign Gordon Heyward. How is it for people to understand that?

Agree... I think might be future. But I'm surprised no one is mentioning Brown here. He was picked 3rd. And got a lot of playing time for a rookie.

But in the Cavs case. Does IT start or Rose? My only problem with IT is his height. It yells double team.

I love brown. I just mentioned Tatum because if the celtics pulled the trigger on butler or PG like some are saying they should have Tatum is probably not on the team.

Definitely crazy when you look at it like that. Should make at least one trip to the NBA Finals in my opinion. Boston has a great chance to go on a 3 year run. I love their coach so much. I hope to the basketball gods it works out.

I'll miss crowders contract the most. Bradley was gone after this season anyways and they added Morris. Still got that Lakers pick.
