He is the key for Atlanta as if he goes before 8 then one of Cam / Culver / Hunter will be on the board assuming Garland also goes.

      Yep, exactly this.

Finding out his step father was the man who introduced him to basketball and trained him.

He was also sitting next to Zion when the first balls dropped (which im sure many knew before that.)

Also said they had spoke with Griffin and Gentry a few times.

National media looking like this guy right now

He isn't going back. The media is all salty that it's NO with the first pick and not NY, it'd be an incredibly short-sighted move to go back to Duke.

Not to mention there’s absolutely zero benefit to go back.

Shoot, folks were damn near asking him to shut it down as soon as his foot slid out those PGs[emoji23]

RJ prefers to play for LA or NY

Duke forward RJ Barrett, projected to be a top-three pick in the 2019 NBA draft, would prefer to play for the New York Knicks or Los Angeles Lakers, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post.

I always thought this whole I will not play for such and such team when you are getting drafted is just stupid. You have not played in the pro's yet and are not proven. What if you turn out to be a flop and not even that good? Prove your self first.

That story is a great example of how the media just says anything, in regards to the post’s above.

                    Marc Berman and a source.

It’s embarrassing and makes sports talk less and less enjoyable each day. You try to have a conversation with someone and they bring up BS like this. Then you spend over half the conversation explaining what you thought to be obvious insanity over something more interesting.

New Orleans is a more successful franchise than the Knicks too so meh. He was never going back to Duke that was just some media members doing K a favor saying how much he loved Duke blah blah and would come back.
