    Re: NBA Draft 2019

According to rumors around here in Chicago the Bulls have allegedly promised Coby White that they will draft him with the 7th pick if he’s still available.

      Re: NBA Draft 2019

I haven't been super high on White, but most "experts" have had him jumping up somewhere between 5-10 for awhile now. If any of those teams in that range were to take him I do think Phoenix and Chicago are the best spots. Both teams need a guard, both teams have a 2-guard that can share ball handling responsibilities and make it easier on a rookie point man.

I do think it's tough to see Phoenix passing him up though. Unless they just see someone who they consider a much better prospect, they've got a absolute log-jam on the wing so Culver, Cam, etc don't make sense for them. Perhaps if Garland is still there they take him and the Bulls grab White.

I like Kevin Porter as a sleeper pick. He's as big as Harden and a little more bounce.

He's not half as good as Harden was in college. 2 starts, red flags on his personality, I'd be surprised if he had a career that was any better than Cavs JR Smith.

I would be fairly shocked if Garland is at 6.

That being said, it's Phoenix, so they very well could take Culver, Cam, Hunter or whoever is there.

JR Smith is an NBA champion. Don't forget that.

Oh by the way, my Harden comment was about his size not their game.

Why wouldn't Culver be considered at 4? That's generally right around where he's projected to go. Seems like people believe Garland is the favorite for #4 but Culver's draft range is probably 4-7.

Culver's game has a lot of overlap with their current wings. I think if they want to keep that pick, Garland fits a lot better with Ball than Culver fits with Ingram.

My guess would be that Ball and Ingram’s spots on the roster are not a guarantee so I would hope they aren’t too concerned with how their draft pick fits with them but who knows

If they think Culver can come in and provide something at that SG spot then perhaps, otherwise I think it overlaps with other guys on the team.

They started BI at sg, likely have him back, as well as Hart, and assuming they sign another name that gets them to the cap, or make a trade for a player that gets them to the cap, they will also likely use KCP's early bird rights to help fill out the rest of their roster as well.

Now if they are trading some of these guys it makes sense, but I also don't see how they pull a worthwhile trade that doesn't include their draft pick. Which is another reason I assumed by trading they might be making a move them gets them the Phoenix/Chi pick and taking Culver there if that's who they liked.

They could just really like Culver and want to take him regardless and figure everything else out later.. But I was assuming that on most "big boards" drafting best available that Garland and Hunter were likely above him.

We'll see, I don't think Brandon has a whole lot of trade value at this point with his blood clot problems. I think the Lakers want to keep Ball as well unless they get a real good opportunity to get a star for him.

Ja Morant had an operation on his knee, and RJ Barrett wouldn't commit to a workout with Memphis. I was somewhat hoping they would just take RJ and roll with Conley for awhile.. But I'm assuming if he won't commit to a workout then he likely wouldn't resign when the time came either.. bummer

I guess dump that Conley contract and start fresh with Morant and JJJ.
