Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
Despite that though, the Wizards' aren't that terribly off. I think they can get a good return on Beal once the big names in free agency are off the table. Mix that with a top 10 pick in this draft and a top 5 if they tank it out next season and suddenly the Wizards are entering 2020-21 with John Wall, several guys on rookie deals and a reasonable amount of cap space.Comment

Depends on which John Wall they get, which we probably won’t know until 2021-22 at the earliest.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
Wall's contract makes him nearly impossible to move, but I would still rather put pieces around Beal.

a hypothetical trade on the ringer podcast was a deal built around Wall for Wiggins. Something like that is about the only potential move I see.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
Wiggins would have no purpose on that team since he wouldn’t bring anything that they don’t already have.
Now if it’s just for the sake of getting Wall off the team, then there would need to be more coming back for the Wizards(Draft Picks being one of them).#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
I don't think a Wiggins for Wall trade would get either GM interested.
I can understand wanting to build around Beal, but unless the Wizards end up with a homerun of a GM hire, I just see keeping Beal resulting in more years of basketball purgatory.Comment

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
Yeah agreed. Washington has zero need for Wiggins unless it got to the point that they just really wanted Wall gone.
Minnesota has no need for Wall who can't stay healthy, and regardless he and Towns aren't winning them anything out West.. Especially if it means giving up anything in addition to Wiggins, no way they give up picks for Wall.Comment

I see how that might be a good trade for both teams but I also $ee why it wouldn't be done

I'm rooting for Steve Clifford and this scrappy Magic team. A player like Wiggins who isn't a grinder wouldn't fit with them.Jordan Mychal Lemos

They do, but it's has to be a player with a high motor, not someone like Wiggins who sleepwalks through so many games.Jordan Mychal Lemos
