Either way Memphis gets a bit closer to clearing off all it's cap space a year sooner, Conley has a longer deal than Lowry I believe.

I do think JV would actually get utilized in Memphis, and it would be interesting to see how he would look when he was actually getting lots of looks coming his way. He's had a few monster games the past couple of years for Toronto when they actually force him the ball. I like Marc, but his days of being a guy you can dump the ball to all game long have really diminished over the past couple of seasons. And he's a step too slow to work the pick and roll as effectively as he once did. Still has one of the smoothest shooting strokes in the league though on those fades.

Yeah, I get the benefit of getting off Conley’s deal a little sooner, but Utah is probably offering expiring deals plus a couple young assets. I would think that’s preferable over the Raptors package unless Toronto adds in something like Anunoby.

Reporter in Toronto saying Toronto are the ones that rejected the offer, not Memphis lol. I find that very hard to believe.

I thought this was a joke. The top post when I clicked on Gasols name(he was one of top trends in the city) was a post from an unverified account saying this. I thought it's the usual fake rumors.

Post right after is from the verified person who reported it.

Sounds like it probably won't happen, but interesting for sure.

Toronto might not want to be locked into the Conley deal if Kawhi leaves either.

Raptors set themselves up for a firesale if Kawhi leaves. Lowry and Ibaka are on expiring deals which makes them much more movable. Although all other reports (Raptors insider is only one I've seen saying differently) are saying Grizzlies rejected the deal, so I wonder what'd make Raptors want to take on Conleys contract for an extra year not even knowing what's happening next season, yet alone 2 years from now.

Even if Kawhi stays, I wouldn't be surprised to see them explore trades for Lowry/Ibaka regardless.

I wonder if the Magic would consider moving Aaron Gordon. Definitely has a movable contract and would allow them to accelerate the development of Issac and Mo.

The idea of moving Ibaka/Lowry isn't crazy. Ibaka is good when used in a certain way and while Lowry is still a very good talent I feel like these back issues are never going to get better. I also find it a little hard that the Raps declined the offer myself. I'd like to know which reporter said that. If it's anyone other than Grange or Doug Smith than I find it hard to believe. (those two guys are THE reporters of record when it comes to the Raps)

The Lakers tried to strongarm the Pelicans when they had no leverage and are mad that the Pelicans aren't being reasonable This is too good.

                            LOL!

Davis isn't going to be traded until the summer at the very latest. There's no incentive for New Orleans to rush into this.

So basically Grizzlies don't want to trade a 32 year old Conley + 34 year old Gasol unless Raptors add in a 24 year old MIP candidate in Siakam....JVs only 26 as well, so Grizzlies acting like those 2 guys have some serious value.

Outside of Kawhi, Siakam is probably Raptors most valuable trading piece. No way they're giving him up for guys in their 30s.
