Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
NO doesn’t have to do nothing so let’s stop the lies. And if Lakers’ management is acting like some of y’all, then I don’t blame the Pelicans for holding out.
Again, if the Lakers don’t want to pay that price then pass on it and wait for another star to hit FA. After all, they’re the Lakers and guys will run to come play with Lebron, right? They get to keep their players and sign a FA without giving up anything.
Lakers aren’t winning anything this season anyway so what harm does it do to wait til the offseason?
At least that what we’ve been led to believe.
Not a single Laker fan has made the "We're the Lakers" argument that you insist on repeating.
It is perfectly ok to look at the two options (trading the whole team and future or standing pat and hope to build through draft and free agency) and prefer option 2. Thats not some ridiculous assertion.
You are a Nets fan my guy. Y'all made this EXACT move a few years back with the Celtics. Just think about that...You currently have a player FROM the Lakers that has revitalized your team and became an all-star. And now you're giving **** to Lakers fans for not wanting to do what y'all did not that long ago? Cmon man lol

**** the Pels man
This whole thing is dumb. And the reason it's dumb is because NO is the team that HAS to do something now. Not the Lakers. Davis told NO that he isn't coming back. They are in the ones put in a bad position.
We don't NEED to do a got damn thing in this situation and will be just fine if we don't.#RespectTheCultureComment

The Nets traded for aging vets. AD is entering his prime years. The two are nothing alike, lol.
Edit - I should add at no time did the Nets or Celtics suspect the other of collusion or tampering or whatever. Just wanted to float that out there.Last edited by areobee401; 02-05-2019, 01:26 PM.Comment

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
New Orleans needs to hurry and trade their star player for a team of players that had a losing record without LeBron with losses to Cleveland and New York.
Imma go to the bank a lunch a trade a couple of dimes for a dollar. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague
Alabama Crimson Tide
Green Bay Packers

Love you Pack. But you take things to the extreme to make people seem unreasonable.

I don’t remember hearing this “that’s too much” noise when y’all fleeced the Magic out of Dwight Howard though, lol
2. Nobody said it was a ridiculous assertion. As a matter of fact, I’ve been saying this whole time they should just wait until the offseason or wait til he hits FA, so I’m not sure how you came to that conclusion considering I didn’t say anything of the sort.
3. Trying to make some connection with this and that Celtics trade is a longer reach than Giannis so don’t even try to make that connection since we both know how far apart that is. Come on now, lol
4. Another reach with the Russell trade considering that NOBODY knew Brook or Russell was on the market or that their teams would consider moving them at the time. Hell, we(Nets Fans, not people here to be more specific)were under the impression that Brook would get a new deal from us the following season.
You’re better than this, TMagic lol#RespectTheCultureComment

I'm saving this page for when C's fan's are calling the Pelly's dumb for not taking that Brown, Baynes, picks package Danny puts out there instead of Tatum when it's time to talk because they'll "lose him nothing anyway" [emoji38]Comment

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
Pretty sure all three of us active here have acknowledged it would take including Tatum to land AD.
That’s all irrelevant though because Danny is gonna pull off a sign-and-trade for KD instead. The whole wait to trade AD thing is a smokescreen to buy time for other teams to get their trade assets up and prevent the Lakers from ever getting AD.Comment

1. Because y’all crying(obviously not literally for the take everything literally types)about some “Arghhh that’s too much to surrender”. Elite, top 5 talent(especially ones that are barely just hitting their prime)SHOULD have an unrealistic price tag. I mean when did this become “too much”?

2. Multiple people on here have LOLed for Laker fans opting to be patient with the team and not wanting to trade for AD. Maybe I just attributed that to you mistakenly.
3. Player wise is not what I'm referring to. Moreso the fact that this trade doesn't lead to us winning a championship. We will lose to the warriors if we even make it to them in the playoffs. LeBron will just be getting older. AD is an injury waiting to happen. We'd be a good team that just loses in the playoffs like the nets were. So then once LeBron is gone, we have AD and what? As I mentioned earlier, we'd be no better than the Pelicans are now with zero assets.
Kudos on the Giannis joke [emoji23]
4. Wasnt talking about the trade for DLo. Just that you've seen a Laker grow into an All Star on your team. So many Laker fans want to wait it out on the young guys instead of giving up on them already... especially with the possibility of signing AD as a free agent anyway.

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
The Lakers Young's can't be great players and trash at the same time
I don't get, well I do, from the LeBron side talking that too much stuff as if they care about New Orleans well being.
It's kinda funny

Second thing, you should’ve read NetsDaily from like October to December. Nets fans pretty much gave up on Russell and we’re ready to let him walk for nothing and tank the rest of the season, lol.
If you ever get bored, just go visit there and read some of the post game threads prior to our hot streak. Definitely a very entertaining place at the time. [emoji23]

Thoughts? Real talk and one of the few times Stephen A says something with substance.
"Stephen A. Smith says Anthony Davis going to the Los Angeles Lakers is unlikely because the league doesn’t want to see LeBron James' agent Rich Paul help trade a player before his contract is up."Comment
