Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
After LeBron James publicly endorses trade for Anthony Davis, small market GM's privately seething over NBA's unwillingness to enforce tampering rules. One GM: "It's open season on small markets and our players." Story on ESPN: https://t.co/xnqAQas59i

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
Yes. Absolutely
Ingram and Kuzma are meh to me. Kuzma I don't see being anymore than he is. And Ingram I don't believe will ever be this Durant-lite player people keep making him out to be.
If Ingram develops a better "feel" for the game, he can be good. But I just haven't seen improvement with that.

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
It's pretty obvious AD/Rich Paul want to go to LA, why do it now and not in the off season? Two words. The Rose Rule. They're not slick they know Boston has "better" assets if you will.Comment

2018-19 Transaction Thread
This was basically worded as such in Woj’s twitter link though. Said the intention was more so to give other teams notice/time outside of the Celtics to be able to offer a package for him.
Still seems odd to me that they would announce it now just before the trade deadline if that’s the case though. New Orleans and Davis will be bothered by this for the rest of the season now.

Just before FA, trade Porzingis & a package for AD and sign KD.

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
I was saying it this morning. All the small market teams are getting beat to the punch here. It doesn't matter how much they can offer a player. If he wants to win. He is out of there. Because there is a difference between 150 million to 240 Million lol
It sucks that Cousin got hurt last year. And the Pels were played so well in the playoffs. But this year been really slow.
Question is this good for the league? Just asking.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
Zubac, like 2 first round pick Bi I would trade if I am Lakers. Zubac is a good young big guy at 21 and Bi is a solid player even if he has not lived up to the hype maybe though ball in there. For someone like AD you are not going to get like enough back. If I am Lakers I am not trading all young guys and picks its just to much. You would have 2 great players but like nothing else and I think Kuzma will be a all starComment

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
I think Lakers getting AD would be huge for the league as it would make them at least have a chance vs GSW this year. It also helps out with the casual fan who will watch come playoff time that might not even know who AD is just knows Lakers are a threat bc LBJ.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Per Chris Haynes:
- The Celtics are not a desired preference for Anthony Davis
- Knicks and Lakers are both proposing offers
- Marquese Chriss wants more minutes or a tradeComment

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
Was just about to ask that:
Is this good for the league? Not this AD situation in particular but the sense or perception that small market teams are at a distinct disadvantage vis a vis big market teams regardless of whether they can offer a bigger contract in negotiations.
If it is good then fine. If it isn't, then what do you do about it? Can you do anything about it?OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment
