The more that I think about it, AD has played his last game as a Pelican regardless of whether he gets traded before the deadline.

He jumps/lands the wrong way, gets seriously injured and you are in a worse position, can't have that.

Okay I thought it was clear but I can see the confusion in my post. When has he ever been right about his reports about transactions, player movement and rumors and that sort of thing. Plus you went far back as hell lol. I said the last few years. It seems like ever since the Summer of LeBron Part 1 these dudes have gone absolutely bat **** with inaccurate "reports" and "sources" and usually when I see Bucher weighing in on what a player is going to do or sign with or whatever it never seems to be right. I could be wrong though, that's why I was asking cause I legit can't recall him being right about any of it.

I would trade just about anything but Porzingod for him if I were in their shoes.

I've been thinking about this since the news broke. Would AD and Porzingis really work in today's NBA? Especially after gutting their team and still not having enough cap space to land a third star. If AD was more like Giannis--essentially a 6'11" guard--I could see it. I have doubts about how good a fit it is. You need an elite playmaker if you want to contend; the Knicks would have two stars who aren't playmakers and wouldn't have the ability, in all likelihood, to add that third piece who'd have to be their primary playmaker. In some ways, it's Melo & Amare all over again.

I've talked myself into the opposite direction. Offer KP and one other asset (Knox, Mitch, Frank, 2019 1st - which loses value as you said he AD comes to NY) and stand firm at that.

Why not?

I don't want the Knicks to gut the team, but if it's KP, contracts to make it work, and maybe one other asset, I think you have to do it.

I don't think New Orleans would do it since he probably wouldn't resign there and he is a restricted free agent this year.

I'm trying to figure out how the math would work on the cap to see if the below works but if it does I would do it. If you have AD, Knox, top 5 pick and you can sign a major free agent then you have a chance at a pretty good team in the East.

Listen, as a guy who knows all about franchise players with ACL problems if AD is legit interested in playing for the Knicks with the possibility of luring Kevin Durant there in the offseason I'd drive KP's *** all the way down to Smoothie King Center myself nevermind the airport. You don't know what guy you're getting whenever the hell he comes back from that ACL injury. If the Pelicans are dumb enough to trade their superstar for that kind of potential disaster waiting to happen, I'd make that move a thousand times over before they wised up to what they're signing themselves up for.

This dude lebron came to the lakers nonchalant and plotted on his teammates.

Dude was gassing them up early in the year. He was all with the "if your brother fall pick him up" stuff even though he wasnt doing that

Now he having tunnel exchanges with Magic and Pelinka and sitting with them in the stands when he's supposed to be injured like
