A lot of guys seem to be getting max money now days though so its hard to say who will or will not get one. Its like any one that is considered a all star even if they are not close to a superstar is being talked about for max money and there is a big difference between a superstar and some one that is like just barley a star. Maybe they could go in like the middle of that 20 and that 27.25 number and give him like 23-24?

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Man have you guys seen how ****ty the 2020 FA class is?
K. Lowry, TOR
S, Ibaka, TOR
D. Green, GSW
J. Brown, BOS
P. Millsap, DEN
D. Favors, UTA
A. Roberson, OKC
A. Drummond, DET, option
G. Hayward, BOS, option
D. DeRozan, SA, option
We need to milk the hell out of this offseason because next summer is going to be a huge ****ing snoozefest!
Knicks are supposedly fine rolling their cap space over to next year if they strike out this year...I think I'd almost rather overpay someone this year than spend max money on any of those guys.Comment

Next years FA class likely looks a little better when a few guys take 1+1 deals this yearRetro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
They are saying Houston is trying to persuade Jimmy Butler sign and trade. As a 76ers fan, I'm rather see him walk than get what Rockets have to offer. Outside of Gordon and Tucker, no one else I'm interested in. Plus they would need a third team. I like what Sean Marks suggested. Resigning Harris and Reddick and still have about 18 mill in cap space. They could get a guy like Mirotic or get a couple players. They need a backup PG because I think McConnell is a FA, depth in frontcourt, another 3 & D wing.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Exactly. That is way too much ego and 3 ball dominant perimeter players. Would have to give up Capela, so rim protection would be an issue. Jimmy isn't a knockdown shooter, so giving up Gordon would hurt.Last edited by illwill10; 06-25-2019, 06:59 PM.Comment

I'm sure Morey did his analytics homework though and found something he liked. No idea what, but he must've found something.Comment

I'm sure y'all are annoyed I'm keeping the **** Woj train going, but here we are again.
Woj last week: "The Lakers have no chance of getting Kawhi and they never did"
Woj today: "I think they've (Kawhi's camp) kept their eye on the Lakers"Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
It's like a Raptors beat guy said (BTW the team beat guys are usually the best source of info), and goes along with every thing we've seen from Kawhi

At the end of the day, no one knows...but it's fun to speculate..Last edited by The 24th Letter; 06-25-2019, 07:56 PM.Comment

It's like I said, no matter where Kawhi goes, everyone will be right because everyone has thrown out every scenario outside of him not playing next year for anyone lolComment

Agreed, I'm just trying to keep conversation flowing even though it's non-news for most. Like I said, next year's FA is bare bones so might as well get all the fun in this summer.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Dont worry, even if FA class ends up being thin, we'll see so many trade rumors. Every top name talent could be dealt. And what team could position themselves to get Giannis in 2021(Ujiri will be targeting Giannis like Clippers trying to get Kawhi lol. Giannis is one of his fave players)? They know how to create stories.Comment

True, looking at the 2021 FA class, next year will all be out preparing for that summer.
CP3, LeBron, Blake, PG13, Hayward, Giannis, Conley, Dame, CJ, DeMar, Gobert, Beal, and Oladpio all pending FAs barring no extensions signed.Comment
