In the latest random offseason news, Kawhi has signed a sponsorship deal with the same company that made Drakes private jet. Company is based just outside of Toronto.

Perhaps getting his own private jet to go back and forth from Toronto to SD?

You'll live a long life if you stay away from the rumor mill on this one.

So by when would we typically read about Patrick Beverley signing with the Bulls?

I really wanted the Lakers to pick him up but everything I keep hearing on local radio is he's gonna command more cash than they're gonna have. They need to sign a few people with that money.

They were saying how it's all but a done deal on him & Chicago.

Collison is the better and cheaper option.

Brother, nothing is ever a done deal with the Bulls and a free agent signing.

It’s probably silly of me, but I don’t even want Beverly. I want DRose back here. I want his redemption happening at home on that UC floor one day.

I agree 100 percent but that wasn't what I was asking.

But I understand the need to inject that, again I agree.

Yea it's subjective for sure, and depends on what needs you're looking for out of that position.

I love the dog in Beverly, he's one of them type of guys you need on your team. His defense is great. But Collision will come much cheaper for sure. Beverly may command around 14 per this free agency period.

So this should come as a shocker to no one, but anything we are hearing about Kawhi is 100% coming from the front offices of the teams pursuing him. His camp hasn't leaked a damn thing to anyone and nobody outside of his camp has any clue to what Kawhi is even thinking, let alone what his plans may be.

In other words, when reports say "Toronto has done everything they can, but still significantly trail the Clippers" or that "Philly is getting a meeting but the Lakers aren't", it's all a lie/speculation. Multiple reporters came out today saying a FA of his stature has never been this quiet about his plans in the history of FA, which perfectly describes Kawhi.

B-but we’re not supposed to listen to reporters. Once again you’re telling us don’t listen to reporters because ‘zomg BS journalism’ until they’re giving the narrative that YOU want to hear. Who’s the reporters saying what you said here?

"Journalism" is speculation of situations or agenda-driven narratives, not factual reports. For example, Woj/BSPN creating the narrative that Pelinka either "forgot" or "didn't know" about the cap situation was speculation that turned out to be false.

Now technically you're right, reports on Kawhi's camp leaking nothing COULD BE speculation...but that statement is much more definitive because it's saying "yeah, Kawhi's camp isn't giving us ****". You see the difference in something like that versus Woj saying "The Lakers are scrambling to create a max space slot because Pelinka didn't realize he needed to negotiate a July 30th execution date" (which was false anyway) or "according to sources, Kawhi is going to give the Clippers and the 76ers a meeting and maybe the Knicks or Nets, but the Lakers aren't getting him and never were going to get him".

Yeah idk about “better” because the selling point for Beverly is not that he’s just a great defender, it’s that he can also switch. All the way up to giving guys like KD some problems.

But if Collison is substantially cheaper it’s a no brainer. He also came out and said he wants to be on a contender which is a strong selling point for a player you want in an unselfish role, and he’s a Vogel guy as well.
