The idea that Tyler Herro is untouchable is absolute insanity to me but we will see.

That's not what I meant. Obviously Harden is better then Herro. But is he a fit on Miami. Absolutely not. Why mess with something when it's not broke? Miami is fresh off a Finals appearance. So why trade for a guy that can't make it to a Finals.

Miami is right with what they need. Herro and Bam should be even better. There's no reason to pursue Harden. He's not a winner.

To add to this. Herro is good. And he's gonna get better. He's not just a shooter. He's gotta nice little drive game. He's becoming a good passer. And the handles are improving. Can create his own shot at will.

Herro has a high ceiling. Kid has a really nice feel for the game and has absolutely no fear.

I think Ben’s lack of scoring had more to do with the coaching than him. They were trying to feature Embiid. Ben thrives in an uptempo system where he can get to the rim and/or create.

When has Ben ever been the first option on that team?

To answer your question, never. But, it was obvious that there were two different teams when Joel was out. Ben prefers the up-tempo system and Joel prefers the half court slower pace. I get that Joel shoots those threes because he doesn't want to post up all the time. But, I'm going to need him to cut that down to 2-4 threes a game at most and only when it makes sense. But, Ben does turn on the switch when Joel is off the court. Even in the preseason game when Joel was off the court, Ben and Tobias kicked it up a notch.

I'm not as concerned with the jump shot. I just want him to be more aggressive. He plays knowing his weaknesses rather than playing to his strengths. For his career, he only averages 5 FT attempts a game. I want him to get to 8-10 FT attempts a game.

He's not a winner. He's one of the best scorers you'll ever see and dominant during the regular season. But he's not leading a team to a title. We've seen time and time again Harden fall apart in the playoffs. If the stepback isn't falling and the fouls aren't getting called. He becomes guardable. Houston is now realizing this.

Herro isn't leading a team to a title either. But that team as a cohesive unit just might. They took Bron and the Lakers to the brink without Dragic and Bam a few games. So why mess with that. Makes no sense.

I just feel like the "winner" thing is what people bring up when guys they don't like haven't won yet. They used to say it about Dirk, LeBron, Kyle Lowry, now it's Harden and PG. Is Giannis not a winner either? Meanwhile if the Clippers win next year and PG goes A-Rod in 09 does that erase the title and redeem all of his fails? It's nonsense.

I think it was in the Wilt Thinking Basketball video where he was talking about how Wilt only played a team-oriented game for a certain coach and that's the one he won his titles with. If the Heat culture means anything, this is what it's supposed to be for IMO...but I also don't like the Heat and don't seem to have anywhere near as much belief in their current core as others so I hope they stay the course and don't make the trade.

Didn't see too much of a hesitation on that Ben Simmons 3 lol

Started ok, but overall sloppy half. Last couple years turnovers have been an issue for the Sixers. 15 first half turnovers isn't good. Not having Embiid definitely showed some half court weaknesses. Started off upper tempo, but got sloppy in the second half. Like what I'm seeing from Maxey though
