    Re: 2021 Offseason Thread

Should also add that pretty much every report that seems outlandish is being spread by Henry Abbott and not popping up anywhere else outside of his report being regurgitated. I have no idea to his credibility overall as I had never heard of him before but it feels like he's looking for clicks and nothing more. When your report states "Indeed, that Wednesday it was Damian Lillard who complained most memorably" it sounds like a line written by an amateur at best or "Sources say he told his national team friends....". I wouldn't take anything this guy says as fact.

Interested to see who they go look at to replace Udoka and now D’Antoni.

Have to shoot your shot lol. But, picks don't really help if you are in win now mode, unless you are then flipping them in another trade.
Definitely feel like there is a trade in the horizon.

Apparently the Nets are dangling Shamet with their first to move up a few spots in the draft and avoid paying Shamet. Pelicans and Lakers interested. Apparently trying to do the same with DJ but his contract doesn't make that realistic.

Ben's stock is at its lowest and Philly is shooting for the moon.

Any truth to the rumors that they haven't been able to get in contact with Ben since they got eliminated?

FFS, that's more than the haul for Harden. Granted Simmons is on a longer deal and he's younger, but he's a fraction of the player that Harden is.

I posted in the Draft thread but they’d be using their extra draft picks in one of/both deals assuming one gets done. Not sure what they’d do with the 1st but I imagine it would be another big to develop/send to Long Island.

DJ’s contract is pretty favorable since it’s only at $10 Mil for the next 2 years. Shamet’s replacement would probably be JJ more than likely.

Is Morey going to do like so many GMs have done in the past by screwing up and not getting players who are the best fit for trying to win a Title in Philly because he want to super duper win the trade, seems likely.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I agree. I do think the ultimate goal is Dame or Beal. But, I would mind some good quality starters if that is the best we can get. Ideally a PG and shot creating wing. I don't like the idea of bringing him back and "rehabbing his image" and trading him in season. Unless he really does step up and it allows for a star for star swap, those big multi-player trades are harder to pull up in season unless teams have open roster spots. Plus, I rather build the team with him not on the team.

But, I'm not in the "if not on Draft night, it's not going to happen" boat. It's not like Sixers are rebuilding and need 2021 draft picks. It doesn't hurt to wait. Depending on what happens in draft and FA, things can change. No need to settle for the best offer on draft night, if you feel you can do better. I don't know if waiting on Dame and Beal is the best way to handle it as well. Beal feels like a draft night trade or not at all since Wizards would likely blow it up.

Kevin O’Connor reporting there’s “real traction” on a Buddy Hield to Lakers trade which would send Harrell + Kuzma or KCP, and the #22 pick to Sacramento

Hey Cima, how confident do folks out there feel in CP3 remaining in Phoenix and ownership not finding a way to screw it up?

Yep, even though we would be dooming him to shooting 31.5% from 3 during his tenue here, we still have to make the effort in hopes that one day someone breaks the curse, especially in the playoffs.
