    Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline

    What's with TJ Warren's injury?

He's been hurt since bubble. I know he had setbacks and it hasn't recovered like they expected, but what's the timeframe for him. It's one thing for a guy like Isaac who was also hurt in the bubble. Isaac is one they want to take as much time and have no concern about winning. But, I wonder how much longer for a guy like Warren

Raptors could have interest in Robert Williams on Boston.

He does fit their need, but given his numbers and contract, I'd imagine it would be hard to get Boston to move him within the division.

Why would the Celtics move him knowing how important he is to them outside of the 2Js?

Can they not afford to pay him?

I wasn't super confident last years play was sustainable for him simply because he was taking and making so many difficult shots, but I didn't really expect him to decline quite as much as he has. Especially for a guy who took a pay cut. Not that I've watched every Knicks game but the few I have it seems his decision making has went back a step when that was something he made a huge leap in last year. I think we caught glimpses of that in the playoffs too, so part of that could just be teams having a year to scout/see film and prepare on him too. It's not like before that breakout that he was a guy teams were scouting against at an All-Star level I'm sure..

If traded I'm really looking forward to seeing Obi get more minutes. I like his game and energy a lot, and I do think his motor/play-style is just a better fit in general for what most teams need at that position. Feels like Randle tries too hard to be a Jayson Tatum type of player, I like that Obi is fine with running the floor, making hard back-cuts, etc to get a chunk of his points rather than trying to iso for every basket he gets. Plus RJ, Grimes, Robinson have been solid as of late so the young guys could make some solid progression to end this year.

'The Clippers are trading Eric Bledsoe, Justise Winslow, Keon Johnson and future second-round pick to the Trail Blazers for Norman Powell and Robert Covington, sources tell ESPN."

Clippers might finally be the defensive team they were touted to be with all of Powell, Covington, Kawhi, PG playing.. That's a nice *** trade for them.

Wonder if any of Morris, Ibaka, Zubac will be gone before the deadline as well?

For Portland, it seems like a trade that the primary goal was avoiding the luxury tax.

I understand the move, but essentially it went from GT Jr. to avoiding luxury tax without strengthening the roster

He could probably play close to that level. It just has to be on a team where he’ll get absolutely no scrutiny.

Didn't they say this morning Kawhi wasn't thing to post this season? PG is looking doubtful as well.

But agree nice team on paper.

Is Covington still considered a + Defender or is he just a name living off past reputation right now?

Powell is under contracts for 5 years and they acquired Covington's bird rights.

I think it's more the 2nd, but I think he's a valuable team defender and joining a good defensive team rather then being expected to vault a bad defensive team into a good one I think gives him back a lot of that value.. Not much unlike what we've seen with Batum to an extent, or when they had Mo Harkless.

Even then, he's more of good helpside defender than a on ball defender and always been a streaky shooter You're not getting a PJ Tucker type of production out of him
