This is one of the dumbest things I see players get so unnecessarily upset about. It ultimately does not matter, even a little bit. And if you’re one of those who thinks it’s a dick move just tell the guy it’s a dick move. It’s not worth running around the court acting like somebody just caused you harm lol.

The Jae Crowder play I still don’t understand. There was nearly a minute left was he supposed to just not shoot? Maybe Payton thought the shot clock was the game clock..

Usually it's the losing team that's really upset. You just lost a game. Fighting over it makes no sense.

        Could not agree more.

This unwritten rule developed pretty much out of thin air at some point within the past 20 years and I've never, ever seen the logic in it. Dudes will play 47.5 minutes of lifeless basketball in a 20-point loss then suddenly decide that the 12th man scoring a meaningless layup with five seconds left is a bridge too far. It's insane.

Growing up, the absence of such hard feelings is what kept games watchable from front to back on some nights. It used to be a time where you might see someone try something they generally wouldn't otherwise. Or it might just be a chance to watch Jack Haley bring 40,000 people to their feet.

Imagine how this would play out in today's game.

Fate wasn't on our side, homie. Plus, multiple good free - throw shooters decided that was the perfect time to be bad. [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

Still, that year and the next were surreal to see a our "big three" still contending for championships. Gonna be a long, long time before we see that again, unfortunately.

The bold, it’s crazy that Kahwi has actually repeated that quite a few times after as well. Feels like he’s going to make every free throw up until those moments and then it’s 50/50 lol. Wonder if there is actually a stat on that floating around somewhere.

These series were so great to watch. I still can’t remember a time that top to bottom I’ve seen a team play as well as the Spurs that following year. As close to perfect basketball as you can get. Every time these best teams ever arguments come up that team instantly pops into my head. Plenty of teams have had more “talent” or more star power, but it would be tough to find a team that would beat them while they were on that heater they were on at that time, no matter who it is.

On the Miami side, the downfall of Wade sorta zapped what “could have been” from that group. I think everyone envisioned a long run from them (that cringy Bron not 5, not 6 lol).. but that first season was really the only “prime” Wade they had in that stretch. He was still really good most of the time after, but zapped of that freakish athleticism that really made him a top tier player.

Some really good teams in that stretch. Dallas obviously that first year, Bulls with a healthy Rose, Indiana, OKC, Lob City, Boston and LAL were still hanging on, and even some really sound teams like Atlanta and Memphis.

I feel like we all have that one game in any sport where no matter how long ago it happened, we still get pissed off watching it again as if it happened yesterday.

Nebraska vs Texas Big 10 Title Game, I don't ****ing care what the replay says Colt McCoy dripped that clock to 0, should've been a Huskers win and an Ndamukong Suh Heisman trophy

They're the scale, the pinnacle, imo, for perfect team basketball and we haven't seen a team like it since. Speaking as a fan that's never really been able to latch on to one franchise, it's my favorite NBA team of all time.

Wasn't expecting he was going to get it. Jokic was a worthy winner and had a better season than last season. Seems like the best thing Embiid will end up with All-NBA 2nd team.

But, I'm looking forward to seeing pissed off/motivated Embiid. Those are the games where just get him the ball and get out the way.

I know it’s a regular season award, but I still feel like Embiid was gonna win/should have won. Not many have gotten back to back MVP awards.

Embiid’s presence has been a catalyst to Philly getting back in that series against the #1 seed in the East. Compare that to what happened with Denver this year and last year in the playoffs. 1 win? I mean, yeah reg season award, but as we saw from 2016…the real most valuable player often is illustrated in the playoffs in my opinion.
