Street Hoops had a short but solid soundtrack. Songs you wouldn’t typically hear in video games like Roll Out, Front 2 Back, Who We Be, Make Em Say Ugh.. those are the main ones I can remember.
It was also one of the first games I can remember where you could go buy “swag” for your characters. If I remember correctly. Think you could buy generic gear, And 1 branded gear, and P Miller branded gear. Unless I’m getting that mixed up with another game.
Gameplay had its quirks, but it was fun and different for its time for sure.
NBA Street, Street Hoops, and NBA Ballers all coming out within a 2-3 year span, along with still having Live and obviously 2K yearly releases.. that was peak basketball gaming. Obviously you could pick the best years of 2K and say that’s the best, but having 4-5 titles you could pick up a play was crazy. To do that now you’d have to play titles that are 15+ years behind graphically. Doubt we ever have something like that again. A newer NBA Street or something similar would be super fun for a change of pace right now.Last edited by ojandpizza; 06-05-2022, 06:27 PM.Comment

Wasn’t NBA Ballers supposed to be the “realistic” version of the others?#RespectTheCultureComment

Seeing a picture on Twitter of him and Gary Payton, it makes me think about how great Detlef Schrempf would be in today's game. In a modern offense I feel like he could be a 24, 10 and 7 on 50/40/85 shooting, playing the 3-5.
I maybe too optimistic, but I'm a Schrempf Stan, he's in my top ten all time.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

A guy I played ball with growing up that my dad was always his coach played in slam ball. He was the best in the league at protecting the rim. His last name was hooker here is a video
Sent from my iPhone using Operation Sports
I think I watched it during the Spike TV days
Between that and Beach Soccer, the real life arcade like sports are more fun to watch than you'd think.Comment
