Imagine the energy at some of these places. Plus the players would take it easy anyway, the same effort they would put in a potential tournament. Who wouldn't love to see stars in those settings for a few games every year.

Probably the only time I’d agree with KD in that I think it would be a terrible idea.

Good in theory/ideology but it would probably end up being a nightmare.

In what way do think it could be a nightmare? Is it like the security element or the playing courts/gym conditions?

I think this is an unpopular opinion but I have not really enjoyed the trend of just pasting a giant secondary logo on a jersey and calling it good (like the black alternate). It's always just given me old school NBA 2K create-a-team vibes, like someone just took a massive sticker and slapped it on a jersey with no regard for how it complemented the rest of the design.

Separately, I don't have a burning desire to go back to the 90's days of unhinged jersey sublimation, but I feel things have swung way too far in the opposite direction. These Cavs jerseys, at their core, are just solid colors with a basic nameplate and a number. Clean is one way to put it. Boring is another.

Security was the first thing that popped into my mind.

Just seems like the league and the players would have to think of it would really be worth the risk

Should you even bother buying a jersey as a Cavs fan? There’s a 90% chance it will change next year

Gotta see how they look with shorts before giving my final opinion.

They need to introduce a "trade - in" policy with how often that team rebrands. I've lost count how many times they done it since LeBron was a rookie.

Cavs should have just stuck with the uniforms from the first LeBron era.

That definitely was their best look since the late 80's/early 90's.

I wish someone in the YouTuber community or a writer (UniWatch or whatever it's called) would do a think piece on the constant rebranding of some organizations.

Would be an interesting topic to tackle as far as pro sports, IMO.

Yeah, I'm more of a fan of simple and clean looks. Sometimes teams take a too "modern" or plain and boring look.

Only uniforms I don't care for are the Timberwolves and Wizards. I just don't care for the horizontal stripe layout

For reference, Jaren Jackson led the league this year in blocks with 2.5

Nic Claxton was second with 2.3

Have to attribute some/most of it to the constant 3 pointers in this new era but still these numbers are absurd.

I raise you one David Robinson.

And it's absolutely due to a shift in the way the game's played. Even as it pertains to someone a bit more modern like Ben Wallace, I've always felt his peak blocks per game number would dip if he played today but his rebounds would likely increase (emptier paint, less contested rebounds).

                              Sheesh.

Easy to take for granted how much of a beast David Robinson was. Was one of my favorite players to watch.

Those aren't even prime - David Robinson numbers.

We probably wouldn't won any titles, but I always wonder how his numbers would've looked if not for his 2 - year commitment to the Navy and the subsequent back injury that shortened his prime?

He was a "modern" big (minus three - point range) playing during the greatest era for centers.
