Even though I always hated the Celtics, I always admired and respected Mr. Russell. R.I.P.

Never had the privilege to watch Mr. Russell play, but these two videos fill my heart for the type of person and athlete he was. We all should be this humble and loving of one another.

Can't ever speak highly enough of him. I wish could've meet him and just spoken to him about his life. He will forever be missed.

Feels like I’m the only one in the world who loves that trim, simple look, while also being a fan of the more creative designs..

              I'm a fan.

That said, I've lost track of what the Statement jersey is. Is it a single-season jersey? If so, therein lies my problem with this whole format. When you land a clean design, it's gone before you can blink. If it's a multi-year, I'm on board.

I'd totally be fine with Nike allowing teams to establish a brand and design in a more stable fashion moving forward. Put some thought into it and hang onto it long enough for people to make a connection between your jerseys and your team. And give them normal names so we can figure out what's going on. Home, away, alternate, city, classic.

If you replace Golden State with Indiana, the jersey looks decent.

Months? We were talking about it a few weeks ago.

Given all the content these sports networks want, I'm surprised certain things haven't been brought back.

Slam ball and BDSSP were great. Hopefully slamball winds up on some network.

I know some Chuck fans float around here but my favorite show did a sit down with Charles Barkley and some of the stories told are pretty good so I thought I would share it here in case anyone is interested.

How crazy would this have been.

In 2018 and 2019, Vince Carter was on the Raptors radar as a buyout candidate. Lowry wanted him on the team and Vince said he would've done it.

We all know what happened in 2019 with the Raptors. Imagine everything still going down the way it went in 2019, but Vince Carter returning to Toronto and getting a ring with the Raptors (and being one of the guys on the bench during the Kawhi shot, reminiscent of Vinces missed shot vs the 76ers). Maybe he even considers retiring right then and there too. That would be a storybook ending.

Why didn’t he do it? Those final years of him were a tease I really thought he’d return to Toronto. Was it money or playing time?

Lowry claims "unknown business" kept it from happening.

That could really mean anything. Part of me wonders if Raptors management didnt want it because they'd feel it would be too much of a distraction (from the media attention)?

As a Vince Carter fan, I would have loved it. But I also know there's a lot of division among Toronto fans regarding Carter.

Kind of a fun one to imagine.

Still a division, but I feel like most fans have moved on, and you also have a whole new generation of fans who weren't alive or at least old enough to remember those days either.
