Re: February Games Discussion Thread
I more so meant does Kyrie want to sign an extension in Dallas, and did Dallas just run the risk of this going as sideways as it has everywhere else and end up losing Luka..
As far as what you said above, I almost think they need another trade now. THJ and whatever picks it takes for OG or something. They have a massive hole with perimeter defense.Comment

According to Twitter world all LAL was willing to offer was Russ and one first, and didn’t want to sign Kyrie to a 4 year max.Comment

Because no one does!!! Lol... Would you sign him to a max deal? I'm usually the most positive person when it comes to these kind of deals. Kyrie is just too dangerous right. Once he speaks out and something happens.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: February Games Discussion Thread
Dallas had to do something because that team's heading nowhere with what they had around Luka, but Kyrie is just such a risk man
I legit feel like he could just outright retire this summer instead of signing anywhere, he's that much of a wild card. On the court it's a great fit though, just have to keep him reigned in off of it which we all know is not going to happen lolTwitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Do you think it’s a great fit on the court? Man I’m not sure. It could be I guess, but Dallas had Spencer dropping 40 and winning with Luka out just to have him stand around and do nothing when Luka played. Same with Brunson and Spencer winning them playoff games last year with Luka out, though he fit a bit better when Luka played.
I guess I could see it going either way. I don’t think their team was nearly as bad as advertised to start with, they just won’t get the ball out of his hands. Does that change with Kyrie? Maybe. But both of them I feel like are worse without the ball than Spencer or Brunson were.
With that said you can typically play the revolving iso game with 2 stars. It’s 3 when it gets tricky. So maybe that works out for them.Last edited by ojandpizza; 02-05-2023, 03:51 PM.Comment

Re: February Games Discussion Thread
I’m not taking about losing him already.
I’m talking about after a year or two if this Kyrie experiment goes the same way the last 3 have. At that point what’s to stop Luka from asking out if he’s not going to win in Dallas? And he’s already played a year of that deal, he has an option on the last. What stops him from walking in 3 years?
And I’m not saying anybody should be concerned, nobody knows how Luka even feels about the situation there now outside of Luka. But Bron left Cleveland a year after Kyrie was gone, KD asked to be traded while Kyrie was there with him and Kyrie all “I’m not leaving my man 7”, just like his promise to stay in Cleveland, telling Boston he wanted to stay there too. You think it’s completely outside reasonable thinking that Kyrie does some **** there too and Luka bounces after it doesn’t work again and again?Comment
