Makes sense since Giddey and DeMar play the same position, plus it seems like Chicago is finally embracing a re-set.

Next move is getting off of Vooch and LaVine's contracts without having to attach too much.

Sixers sign Caleb Williams to a 4 year $32M deal. It's a solid signing. Surprised he wanted a 4 year deal since he's 28. Sixers should have a solid perimeter defense. Still need a true 4. Passing and rebounding is still a huge issue. Seeing a report that he passed on a 5 year $65M contract last week from Miami. If true, then his agent fumbled lol. I saw the reports that he wanted $15M, so he probably thought he could get that.

Nice pick up for the Spurs getting another solid veteran, but with the much needed asset of being able to hit three-pointers.

It'll suck if the Spurs need to cut Champagnie to make the money work, but Barnes (off the bench or starting) is an upgrade.

Not a bad move for the Kings. Surprised it took this long for DeRozan to wind up back in California. Real surprised he never ended up on the Lakers. Growing up in Compton and he was a huge Kobe fan. Given how familiar LeBron is with him too, surprised he never got DeRozan over to LA.

Never realized the last 2 years he's finished top 3 in clutch player of the year voting. He's come a long way from the "DeFrozen" days during Raptors playoffs.

Meh, Spurs ain't gonna be a playoff team anytime soon. Which is usually when Harrison falters, but it sucks that the Spurs might need to dump more salary to bring in Paul and Barnes.

They moved Graham already, so there is one volume three-point shooter off the team.

To be fair hard to say that since he hasn't been in the playoffs proper since he left Toronto (not gonna count a 7th & 8th seed appearance with the Spurs & Bulls)

I don't hate Duarte to the Bulls in all this either. He's been slowed down by injuries but looked super promising early on as a rookie. Maybe he can finally bounce back.

Philly signs Kyle Lowry to a minimum. He shows he still has some tread on the tires. As long as it isn't the same large role he had last year. He needs to be the backup PG and play just 15-20 minute tops. Allow Maxey to not have to be among league leaders in minutes. With having capable backups in Lowry and Drummond, I want Embiid and Maxey to play 32-36 minutes tops in the regular season, not 37-40 minutes like last year. Embiid usually plays the full 1st and 3rd quarter, then last 7 minutes of 2nd and 4th. I want Embiid to play first 9 minutes of 1st and 3rd, last 8 minutes of 2nd and 4th.

Philly has 11 standard contracts and I wouldn't be surprised If they only carry 14 like they have last couple seasons. So with 3 spots left, I want to see a true backup PF, and two versatile wings. The running story is that they will resign KJ Martin to a balloon contract that they could either sign and trade to a different team or trade before deadline for another player.

I could see this being his last season or 1 more for the absolute most.

One more shot at a 2nd title, in his hometown, with his old coach he won a title with already. He'll be 39 by time the season ends.

Storybook ending I'd like to see is him win one more title, retire as an NBA champ and sign a 1 day contract with the Raptors which caps off their 30th anniversary season.

Yeah, I see this being his last season. He showed he has a little left in the tank. But, like I said, I don't want no more than 20 minutes a game. He's still a good Playmaker/Facilitator/Initiator, High IQ, put his body on the line. In the regular season, the offense fell off a cliff when Maxey and Embiid was off the floor. If Lowry can stabilize the offense when Maxey is off the court, this'll be a good signing

With the middle class free agents seemingly getting penny pinched, I wonder if those players just start accepting extensions when they can get them. It seems like unless you're a "elite" role player, the MLE is the likely outcome. Where if you can get a $15M-20M APY extension, you're better off taking it
