He was a guy, I was interested in for the Sixers.

James Harden could've got the same deal with an extra year with the Sixers last, if he didn't have a temper tantrum lol.

I guess I gotta take back all those years of calling CP3 a flopper and loser. [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1]

This is a lot like when Robert Horry came to town, but obviously they won't be playing for the LOB.

I'm just hopeful Chris can stay healthy, helps instill good habits onto the younger guys and mostly throws Wemby a lot of lob passes. [emoji1]

                  Re: 2024 Offseason Thread

Philly also resigned Oubre to a 2 year $16M(NTMLE). I rather keep Oubre on the bench. Ultimately, this was a business decision for PG. He obviously wanted to stay in LA, but it's hard to pass up an additional $62M

I like the signing of George. He wasn't a perfect option, it's not like we're getting OKC George. But, he's a definite improvement over Harris as a Bucket getter, high volume 3pt taker, shot 70% around the rim, still a solid defender.

I would like to see Sixers trade Paul Reed's contract and some picks for a solid starting 4. They could trade up to a $15M player using Reed contract. They need a glue guy type of 4 who can hustle, rebound, defend, make connective passes, and take open 3s. The Paul Reed trade/decision is the next important move. They have to get a solid starter out of it. They can't rely on hitting on a Vet Min deal

As expected. Him waiting to do the extension this year, allowed the Sixers to get PG this year.

That seems like a lot for Isaiah

One thing that Tobias Harris and his Father/Agent can do is secure a bag lol. And it's has no options either, after that deal he'd have earned $300M in his career

He's not as bad as the causal Sixer fan will have you to believe. It was just hard to not connect his contract with the production. He's a solid player, good at most things, but not great at anything. I just don't think he fits on a contender. He's not a player who want to do the dirty work, but he's not a guy who can be a #1, 2 , or even 3 option on a contender. He wasn't willing to take a high volume of 3pt shots and that was what Philly needed. He's a guy who needs offense ran for him. He'll fit better on a team with no expectations

That is an insane overpay for a guy who just rebounds and defends, but it's great for Isaiah.

And OKC needed a more traditional big man in the worst way, so win - win.

Dude does so much more than rebound and defend. Great passer and screen setter, his floater is great. Big loss for us.
