This is a clinic. Like what the Mavs did to Houston. Dampier although he can't guard Amare, he should cause some problems for them defensively, but he is playing badly in the playoffs. Good thing this is only game 1.The Sports Preacher

We'll see if Dallas can make any adjustments, but it seems like they are weak right now.Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.Comment

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread
I think San Antonio can too, there is no doubt about it...there are a few other teams that can beat the Suns (Miami and Detroit are the only teams in the east for sure)...the Mavs, even though they got destroyed in game 1, can push the Suns as well.Comment

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread
The Spurs are the only team that can fluster us enough, I think.
I dont even know what to say or comment about this game...except that Amare is a bull, Joe Johnson needs to run the point more often, and we need to keep the same energy in game 2.

Can Seattle play any crappier in the first quarter? These guys are playing horrible, I dont care injured or not.Comment

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread
Seattle is really disappointing me. Ray Allen is the only one putting in work. The rest of everyone else is taking bad shots and not playing good defense.
And oh yeah, they put my man Flip in the game, and he's jacking up shots, probably just because he's just happy to be out there. They should have played him more in the regular season.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread
Does anyone feel that Dallas is still right there with Phoenix after game one? I didnt get a chance to watch much of it and from the sounds of it I didnt miss much in terms of competitive gameplay. I believe Dallas should be putting Nowitzki on Stoudamire, he is the only one on Dallas that is not only tall enough to alter some shots from him but can move his feet better then someone like Dampier, I honestly think if they benched Dampier and started Stackhouse that Dallas could win, of course coupled with Nowitzki defending Stoudamire. I dont want to sound like I think I know everything but if I was Dallas I would put Nowitzki on Stoudamire, Howard on Marion, Terry of course on Nash, Stackhouse on Johnson and Finley on Richardson and go with that small lineup which will also help to get back on the fast break when Phoenix likes to run. This also might wear down Amare since he will be forced to come out and defend Nowitzki since he cant defend any of the smaller players. What is your guys' take on it?Comment

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread
I dont think it'll help. Nowitzki is one of my favorite players but I really doubt he can even come close to defending Amare. He's just too strong and too fast for Dirk out there. I think it'd be better to use Dirk elsewhere. Playing down low isnt one of his stronger points anyway. I think they want Dirk to have a mismatch outside against Marion, and they hope he can exploit it. I think they should just let Amare do his damage and worry about perimeter defense, but then again, they'll just dump it off to Amare.
It's hard to come up with a gameplan against my team!Comment
