Yeah, I think you're on to something, RahKhem. David Stern is probably instructing the officials not to call anything on Bowen since Bowen is one of the stars of the NBA.

Originally posted by RahKhemThere's a difference between tough defense and cheap defense. Scottie Pippen is a tough defender, he did not grab and shove every player he's guarding off the ball, he used positioning to get there. Bruce Bowen plainly grabs and pushes players to knock them off the block or from their position, and that is a foul that they never call on him. They will call it on most other players in the league, but not Bruce Bowen. Just watch him as much as you can for a game, don't even look at the ball, and tell me that he plays legal defense against Ray Allen.Comment

Originally posted by DW Rutledgeenjoy it Sonics fans, it was a nice win. the Spurs looked really fatigued, I would expect them to rest up and be ready for Sunday. I wouldn't spend too much on tickets for Sunday if I were a Sonics fan.
I guess the Spurs will just have to beat some respect into Jerome James.
And one observation.....Danny Fortson gets called for a foul if he moves....The officials have taken him completely out of the series.
The Spurs are somewhat overrated. If the Sonics were even CLOSE to full strength this would come down to the last game.Comment

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread
Close game again.
The Suns haven't been able to run as much as they want with the tight officiating however i'm pleased how they've responded to the more physical play.
Amare, what can you say about that guy. I'll start with WOW!Comment

You know, ya gotta give Indiana a lot of credit. Who would have thought that they would be doing as well as they have in these playoffs, or even in the regular season? They've surpassed everyone's expectation and have surprised a lot of people, myself included. It just goes to show how far good management and good coaching can go. It's a real shame that Carlisle didn't get COY. He really deserved it.
For those who haven't seen or don't know, the Pacers won tonight to take the series lead at 2-1. I'm not saying that they're gonna win or lose, but to even be in this position is truely amazing to me. They are a hard working scrappy team who just doesn't give up. It's great for them, the fans in the state of Indiana, and for the NBA.Comment

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread
That was a crazy fun game. There was actually some tight defensive possesions and fortunately the Suns were able to take advantage of Dallas's poor 3 point shooting because I doubt Dallas will ever shoot that badly again. We need to get Joe Johnson back because I don't know how much longer we can just rely on the starting 5. Great win for the Suns. Nash showed why he was the MVP and Amare is a beast.Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.Comment
