Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread

Congrats to the Spurs. I am a big fan of the way they played tonight. They played hard nosed ball, not the bullsh*t flopping all over the court (although Parker looked like a rag doll multiple times when he tries to body Amare, lol). Suns just didn't play well tonight (outside of Amare, good god he's going to lead the league in scoring next year, mark it down).

It was a good season...they just ran into a better team. Now if they just resign JJ, they'll have as good a shot as any next year round this time.

Congrats to all the Spurs fans in here...it was a damn good series, even though my team got whipped. Only game three wasn't really competitive...the Spurs just had the poise of champions. Hopefully the Suns can learn from the experience this year, and make a run at it next year.

No, they should have told him the Western Conference finals started last week. He played well in the other two series.

First let me start by saying I hate stupid Suns fans that don't even cheer on the team at the game, you should kill yourselves. The arena is way too quiet in the playoffs.

It was a great season. No one expected the Suns to get this far and I'm proud to be a Suns fan. Amare showed how great of a player he is in this series and season. We'll be back next season if we can keep JJ and pick up some good back ups. Great season Suns!

Yeah, congrats. Can't agree with the "hard nosed basketball" comment but hey, they won.

Great season to the Suns. I'm not gonna say we ran into a better team, because the ball couldve just as easily tipped our way. They did not "run into" anything. The Spurs won 4 to 1, yes, but they did not win handily at ALL. But wins are wins, and thats what counts.

I really dont want to sound like I'm giving the Spurs no credit, really. I pride myself on class and dignity but the Spurs should consider themselves lucky, really. Shawn and Q completely dissapeared all series, and if they were on, I'd expect a much different series. Lots of things went wrong, but for the Spurs, they had the key people step up, so theyre moving on and we're not.

Can't all be failure though. The Suns had an amazing season, and I sure hope we can keep Joe Johnson around so we can do it all again next year.

Good luck against the Heat or the Pistons, guys!

I think marion and richardson disappeared because the spurs played defense.

                Yeah pretty much...

And Matrix...you aren't giving the Spurs any credit.

I gave them credit, they were the ones who, when it came down to it, played bigger than us. What more can I do or say?

thank God the series is over, I was so sick of hearing about how the Suns "saved basketball" I was going to puke. Nice run and gun year Phoenix, get ready to take Dallas' place on the NBA landscape. Now it's time for the real b-ball to begin. Keep watching Phoenix fans we're about to show you how championships are won.

Someone should show you how to get some class, bro. The Spurs won the series, and youre prancing around and showing off like you've already won something. Why dont you win the championship first before gloating?

I wonder how the Suns would play like if they've learned hardnose D is more important than the run n gun.

Congrats to the Spurs. You guys made the important plays down the stretch in 4 out of 5 games and because of that you guys were able to make it to the Finals. The Suns just lost to the better team though it was pretty close and with a few tweaks I think the Suns can come back strong again next year, but the Spurs have set the bar pretty high. I think the Spurs will win it all especially against Miami but against Detroit they will be able to shut down their offense and score enough imo. The Spurs have a really great organization (like signing Horry and Barry for cheap; drafting Parker, Ginobli, Udrih ; Bruce Bwoen taking a pay cut; Popovich being able to chew out Duncan; Duncan being one of the best players; etc). Congrats once again and good luck in the next round you guys were clearly the better team.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

What do you know? You watched basketball during the season and through the playoffs.

Congrats to the Spurs. They played with poise and class(minus the flopping). They're a better, deeper and more experienced team. I'll pull away the positives which was a close series as close as a 4-1 series is.

I think the Suns learned and will make the necessary moves to win it all next year. The run & gun isn't the problem, not playing consistent D was.

                              Good luck to the Spurs.

Congrats to the Suns for a great season and a great run in the playoffs. Hopefully they can add to their bench and be better next year. Amare is a beast and hopefully he'll add a back to the basket move or two. He is damn quick and should only get better.

Congrats to the Spurs on making it to the NBA Finals again. I was wondering, have the Spurs ever lost in the Finals?
