After checking out today's article in the Detroit News it doesn't seem likely the Pistons will take Thaddeus Young at all. Because he's as much of a project-type player as there is in this draft.

The Billups opt out was expected but I jsut read on MLive that McDyess will be opting out as well
Flip Murray will be back with the Pistons next season after exercising his player option. June 26, ESPN.com: Pistons guard Ronald "Flip" Murray has exercised his player option for next season to return to the team, his agent, Mark Termini,...
I do not like this at all. I think Detroit will retain Billups but I think some other team will come after McDyess and expect him to be goneActually...believe it or not from my physique... I'm a light eater - Clay T. ShaverComment

There's an intriguing article on Rodney Stuckey posted at ESPN. Looks like the reported interest the Pistons have in him isn't just a rumor after all. Best of all is that Stuckey wouldn't mind coming here either.

It's now official. According to A. Sherrod Blakely of MLive, Antonio McDyess is not going to exercise option to become a free agent this season. So he's on board for another year.

The Chauncey Billups signing is now a done deal.
Billups re-signs
It's being reported that Amir Johnson will likely be re-signed today as well. It'll supposedly be a 3-year deal around the $10M range.

Ian Thomsen of SI has posted a nice article on the Pistons today. It's well worth reading.
Pep in their step
Edit: ESPN is reporting that Amir Johnson has agreed to a 3-year deal around the range of $12M.

I hope Amir gets into the rotation next year. Next year should be interesting. I just hope this team really undergoes the attitude change they have been talking about. The infusion of young hungry talent should help that happen.Comment

An article from the Detroit Free Press is reporting that Cheickh Samb has been signed to a 2-year deal. I think it's a good move to sing Samb so to keep him stateside, as being around the Pistons strength and conditioning staff and coaches should accelerate his development. He should get a lot of playing time in the NBDL this upcoming season.
Samb stays a Piston
Also, Sammy Mejia may also be signed according to this article at Pistons.com:
Mejia will likely stay as well
