If Billups, Prince, Hamilton and Sheed stay healthy anything is possible. I'm just not sure Saunders can make them a better team, which I think Brown did better. They must keep the defense strong this year so no more loses on the playoffs to worse teams like last season. GO PISTONS!!!

The latest news reported in the Detroit News weblog on Rodney Stuckey's hand is that the surgical procedure performed on it has been successful. And the timetable for him returning to play is approximately six weeks.

It seems like a long time, but the season is so long that it really isn't. Maybe as Born says he might be fresher for later on in the year.

Well guys here we go. If the young core contributes like we think they can, things will be well. Hopefully they get off to a good start tonight. With no D Wade I expect a win.

I think we should do well as long as Sheed and Dice stay out of foul trouble while guarding Shaq, because I don't think Maxey will do well if he's asked to do so. I'm also curious as to how much Arron Afflalo will play. He'll likely match up with Dorrell Wright whenever Wright is on the floor.

Edit: It's being reported at MLive that Rip Hamilton is out for the game tonight against the Heat, and Afflalo will be starting in his place.

            Hamilton out against Miami

Well that levels things out a bit. Didn't know Rip had a kid.

I've been impressed with how the Pistons played in this early Florida trip, especially considering that these games were played without Rip and Rodney. I thought rebounding would be an big-time area of concern with this team, but so far that hasn't been the case at all. I like the way the team defended Shaq and Dwight Howard, and basically made both guys non-factors for majority of the game. And the great thing is that it's the bench guys like Flip Murray, Jarvis Hayes and Jason Maxiell who mainly contributed to making game-deciding runs during the second half.

With the first 8 out of 11 games being on the road, it's important that this team continues to play well away from home to get off to a good start. And so far so good.

The bench has been awesome. This team has alot of versatility. Love seeing Tay run the point at times. It will be interesting to see how Flip juggles the rotation. It was funny to read them jab RIP by saying he might not get his job back. LOL.

Yeah, Hayes is a good backup if he can stay healthy. He'll improve Detroit's depth and shooting.

Great comeback win. I think Chauncey missing the throw was actually a good thing. Maxey was beastly tonight.

I like the Hawks squad. They will be a fun team to watch as the year progresses.

Good comeback win last night. Hope Chauncey can get back for LA on Friday. Looks like Dyess might be a little worse off.

That was an amazing comeback last night against the Warriors. It's nice for me to see that Maxey is really getting after it on the defensive boards, which had been the main weakness of his game. And Sheed has been the main man in the 4th quarter of these games, stepping it up on both ends of the floor.

Like you had mentioned before... I doubt Dice plays tomorrow night against the Lakers, but I can see Chauncey suiting up. At least Amir Johnson should get some important minutes in with Dice being out.

Ya seeing Amir would be the silver lining to the Dyess injury. I would like to see what he can do in extended minutes. Maxey did play well last night. I love that guy, LOL.
