Amir has shown a lot of promise lately but he really needs to know when to not reach and draw ticky-tack fouls in bunches. And I was glad to see Dice out there playing today despite being banged up. It was easy to tell that Dice was not in the best condition to play as he was grimacing out on the court quite a bit.

Win on Sunday, on the road, 3 players hurt, Stuckey is the Best player on the team, Rip is going to have to come off the bench because Stuckey has earned the starter position. And playing good defense through the whole game.

        just a quick question.

is amir johnson 6'9 or 6'11 because on wikipedia it says he was 6'9 but has grown to 6'11 since he was drafted by the pistons. but every where else it says he is 6'9

it also says he is 6'11 here on the pistons website. http://www.nba.com/pistons/news/jobtraining_070108.html

They are not trading Rip, I won't even comment on that type of talk. Rip is a Piston and has earned his spot in the lineup. If someone needs to go to the bench, time to suck it up AI and do what's best for the team like you said you would do at your introductory presser.

I don't think Amir is 6'11", doesn't look like it on the court at least. I would lean more towards 6'9".

Right A.I. and Stuckey compliments each other perfectly.Rip needs to be spoon fed and they went on the best winning streak of the season w/o him

              I would love this lineup

              Camby..Brown
              Sheed..Dice
              Prince..Battier
              A.I...Affalo..Stuckey
              Stuckey..A.I...Bynum

I knew I would catch hell from the AI fans, LOL. I believe in a big lineup, so I would want Rip out there. Besides that Rip has earned his spot on this team through his contributions to the team during his time here. He has struggled this year, but hopefully he will bounce back as he gets used to the offense being different.

I think AI would be better off of the bench compared to Rip as he is more of a scorer. Rip plays better defense as well. I don't think it would be a slight. Finishing games is what matters. Who knows what will happen anyways, once everyone is healthy they could go back to the small lineup. .

Rip fed off of Billups. It's not about being a A.I. fan it's the point that Iverson is a better player.

He does more than just scoring. His overall effect on the game is far superior than Rips..The Pistons are doing it w/o Rip now so Rip coming off the bench or either trading for another All-Star Big could benefit this team alot.

Trade Rip? we are not guarenteed that AI will resign with Pistons, plus Rip is 3 years younger.

Tough loss to the Blazers last night that put an end to the Pistons win streak. The Pistons had some problems dealing with the Blazers zone defense. And I've been expecting that this team will have issues with them since our two main zone busters are out. Those guys being Rip and Sheed, of course. And Travis Outlaw hit a clutch shot over two defenders which put the Blazers on top during the final seconds of the game. Gotta give him props for that.

Anyway, has anyone aside from me worry about how many minutes both Stuckey and AI have been playing lately? Since Rip has been out, both guys have been playing 40+ minutes a night and Will Bynum strangely hasn't gotten any playing time. I wonder if Bynum is in MC's doghouse or something.

I saw that game last night and it was dreadful, why we were running a play for the 6/18 shooting Iverson while leaving the best scorer last night inbounding the ball, Prince, is beyond me. Secondly, Outlaw always seems to be the go to guy at the end of a game for Portland when Roy either is off or not playing and he always drives, why Afflalo was so tight to him allowing Outlaw to blow by him is beyond me. IMO, those last 2 sequences of the game last night were abysmal at best.

Re-watching this game, it seems like the Pistons had a ton of chances to put the Blazers away. With a minute left and a one point lead for Detroit, Prince missed a wide open three pointer, but the Pistons were able to grab the offensive rebound. They then give it to Iverson, who misses a running fade away jumper. Outlaw hits a shot over two defenders, and then Iverson misses another jumper to end the game. You guys only needed one of those shots to fall and the game most likely would have been yours. Outlaws shot was really lucky. The Blazers really got away with this one.

Hopefully the Pistons bounce back and defeat the Nuggets on Friday.

Yeah, Tay was having a great game and probably should've taken the last shot, but I think MC allowed AI to take it out of respect. Plus AI did make the game-winning play during the final seconds in Los Angeles to beat the Clippers a few days earlier.

The Pistons get another gritty win on this West trip against the Nuggets last night. They were trailing Denver for most of the game with pretty much everyone outside of Tay struggling with their shot, but the team made enough plays in the 4th quarter to pull it out. Defense was great and really kept the team in the game up until the last quarter to be in position to steal one. Arron Afflalo played really good down the stretch and made the clutch free throws late. And it's great for me to see Chauncey Billups still playing well and taking it to the Pistons. I still wish nothing but the best for the guy.

Ugly loss against the Jazz tonight as Utah broke the game open late in the 3rd through early 4th quarter. Ah well... for the Pistons to break even at 2-2 on this West trip is a good thing considering the number of injuries this team has been dealing with lately. There are a lot of guys on this team who can use a few days off now to heal up.
