From what I have been reading the deal was supposed to be a 3 team trade with New Orleans in the mix and New Orleans pulled out at the end. The Pacers would have sent Rush to New Orleans but, I haven't read what New Orleans was adding to the deal. It makes sense for there to be a 3rd team involved because the contract of McRoberts is probably around 1 million and I'm sure O.J. Mayo makes at least 3-4 million a year so, there would have needed to be additional players to make the contracts match.

I get a feeling that the Pacers aren't very high on Brandon Rush as this has made the 2nd year in a row that they tried to trade him at the trade deadline. Only last year the Bobcats pulled out at the last minute.

Probably the pot smoking has something to do with it as he has had some issues with it. Thats just my guess but Mayo would not be the answer, he would be trouble on and off the court. I bet McRoberts is happy since he is from Indiana that the trade did not go down. I just hope it don't effect the team chemistry now.

I'm also glad it didn't go through. Seems like Bird wanted to make a deal just to make one. What would Mayo do for us? The Pacers are a great team for a superstar. That's what they need to put them over the top. Plenty of good support players like Granger, Hibbert, etc. and a good bench. Mayo wouldn't do anything except blend in with the already ridiculous number of good, but not great players we have.

As far as this effecting the chemistry, I thought about it too. McRoberts is playing for a team that he knows tried to trade him. lol. I think it'll be fine though. These guys are professionals and they understand it's a business.

Anyway.. got the Deron Williams-less Utah Jazz tonight at home. Definitely expecting a win now.

EDIT: Just realized if we win tonight, we'd be on a 3 game win streak which would be our 3rd in the 13 game span under Vogel.

Glad to see you found someone to take those tickets. I am hoping all these trade talks gets guys fired up even more to show they belong in Indiana. I really like this team as is so I hope they really make a strong push up the seeding the rest of the year. I don't think the 5th seed is out of the question. I could see Atlanta fall off after the trade and really struggle. 6th seed is probably more realistic now Melo is in New York but not impossible. Melo and the Knicks don't play D so anything is possible.

wow, now i remember what losing consecutive games feels like. Hard to believe we had 6-7 game stretches of this not that long ago lol.

Nothing you can do today, I mean sure we could have played better, but that dude just hit that shot at the end, sometimes the shot just goes in right.

Very tough loss indeed. Life has gotten in the way lately of me getting to watch NBA ball, but I'm still pulling for the Pacers. They'll get back on track.

I really want the 6th seed,but im very concerned that the loss of Dunleavy JR is blow to the backcourt.

Rush = inconsistant,but can rebound at the SG and has strongest three range
George = Rookie
Jones = has emerged in the new system, but isnt a great jumpshooter, but attacks the basket, and can hit the mid range pull-up.

Im really curious to see Lance Stephenson as a backup-Combo guard.

See... I miss everything. How did he look? I've been wanting to see him get some burn all year long. Hopefully after a few games, he can get some of the LS Swagger going on.

I only saw him play for a few mins, saw him jack up and miss a 3, nothing else really. He did play for 14 mins though and got 4 points.

Glad we pulled out the win. I liked to see Granger taking charge and driving to the hoop/keeping the ball in his hands with the game on the line late.
