No one can stop Melo one on one. I was suprised Granger gave up baseline so easily.

That's what happens when you play a team with no size and no concept of defense. You and I could get easy baskets against these friggin' Knicks.Comment

Great win. Hopefully it'll propel us into this next stretch of games. @ MEM, vs NJ, @ CHA, vs SAC, @ DET, vs BOS, vs DET. Give me 5-2 and I'm happy.
Oh and Hansborough has been playing out of his mind. 29 points and 12 boards last night.Indianapolis Colts

Im hoping Revis. I did this back 2 months ago and it was at that moment that everything fell apart lol. Id like to see 5-2, we need something, I mean yeah, making the playoffs is great, but we dont want to get in just because Charlotte quit, we want to get in cause we won some games when it counted.Comment

Re: Official Indiana Pacers Thread
I feel like some of us overrated these young guys when they got so good so fast, but now I'm feeling like they all just peaked early.
Earlier I felt like Hibbert and Granger could form the young nucleus of a great team; all they needed was a point guard. Well, the Pacers got Collison and things have almost regressed. Now, when I watch Hibbert and Granger I'm starting to feel like they're just another couple of guys. Really, Hansbrough has looked like the best player on the team for awhile now.
As for getting a superstar, I'm just not sure. I'm not sure these guys are good enough even if a superstar is on the team.NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)
NBA: Indiana Pacers (42-13)
MLB: Cincinnati Reds (0-0)
NHL: Detroit Red Wings (26-20-12)
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers (FB: 1-11, BB: 15-12), Michigan Wolverines (FB: 7-6, BB: 19-7, H: 15-10-3)Comment

Re: Official Indiana Pacers Thread
If Handsbrough is a capable starting young PF, would do we wave our money to?
An even better PG? More veterans to help in the locker room?
Another wing threat with Paul George on the come up?
Another big to go with the Hibbert, Psycho T, Josh rotation?
I really hope they retain Jeff Foster. He's the last link to the glory days and is still a very good rebounder and hustler. You cant lose that spirit.
I have no idea who would fit with this team next year.
Zach Randolph was my preferred PF, but Memphis is being smart and is looking to lock him up.Comment

Looking at who will be free agents this year none of them really standout as being helpful to the Pacers next year. To me it's just not a very good group of free agents and it's just happens to be the year the Pacers get cap space.
I was thinking before the season maybe the Pacers would look at David West or even Carl Landry but, if Hansbrough can keep improving maybe the Pacers don't need a PF. Nene could be a option but, can he play power forward as I don't think Hibbert becomes the backup at Center. Also, I think Nene resigns with Denver anyway. Randolph looks to be resigning with Memphis. If the Pacers don't resign Foster they will need a backup center. Also, we need to resign McRoberts or else the Pacers will need a backup PF. Will the Pacers possibly bring back Dunleavy on the cheap? I wouldn't mind a more consistent scoring threat at SG to go along with the inconsistent Rush and the more defensive-minded Jones. Too bad there doesn't look to be someone in that mold as a free agent so, that makes bring Dunleavy back more of a possibility.
I'm intrigued by Greg Oden as I wonder if Portland is done with him. For the right price it would be worth a chance to bring him back home to Indianapolis. Too bad coming back home won't mean his knees would be magically fixed but, I think he gets one more chance to start his career. As long as it's at a low risk I'd take a chance on him.Comment

Re: Official Indiana Pacers Thread
Yeah you almost need him as he has a high basketball IQ along with Fosters hustle. Even with cap space I almost think were locked in with what we have. PF is locked up and looks good with Tyler and Josh combo. Foster gives hustle at the backup C position, and Hibbert should only get better. We need a lock down defensive minded SG that can also score and can knock down 3's to open things up for the bigs, it would also help Granger be more consistent shooting imo. Dohnatey Jones can defend but is to inconsistent shooting and Rush well he is just inconsistent in everything he does. I liked Rush coming out of college but seems to be lazy, I feel the talents there but the desire is not, a little like Vince Carter. Talented but to lazy to be great. I think we need a veteran PG that has some size also. I'm just not real big on my main PG being so short. Collison was a upgrade for the team and should only get better. Lance has the talent but not sure the brains to be that guy or atleast not yet. Enough of my rambling just some things I have been thinking about for this team.Comment
