As cutdown looms, the Celtics continue to offer James Young or RJ Hunter for a second-round pick, league sources tell @TheVertical.

Call me crazy but would rather trade RJ Hunter.
I was hoping we kept Bentil on the 15 man roster. Sure, we could use him in the D-League affiliate on the 15 man roster but just being cut/waived & let him go anywhere I wouldn't like.

I think he can bring something to us in the future. As for either Hunter or Young I would rather have Hunter. Young has had his chance already. Hunter hasn't had enough time yet to prove himself. Thanks!

RJ Hunter waived. James Young made the cut.

      I like it.

I didn't like it. I wanted us to keep Hunter & waive Young. Oh well.

Well, my hopes for keeping Ben Bentil on the roster & possibly on one of our D-League affiliates is gone now: http://www.indycornrows.com/2016/10/...ard-ben-bentil (Bentil has now been waived by the Pacers this evening)(very strange)

I really hate that. I think Bentil could have become a solid contributor for this Celtics team. Add this to the fact they let Hunter to go & not Young doesn't make me too happy at all.

I hope that Brown can either, become something big this season or if he turns out like he won't be great trade him for something good before he isn't worth anything.

This is going to be a tough one tonight, especially without Horford and Crowder. Time to see what the youngsters are made of. Any word on who will start for Crowder tonight? Smart with lot's of zone defense?

I would expect Smart to start in place of Crowder. The injury really stinks. Crowder was shooting so well to start the season. Have to hope we don't see a repeat of last season where he lost his shooting stroke after suffering an ankle injury.

Our defense and rebounding this season has been atrocious. And for the love of all that is holy can we not put the other team in the bonus with 5+ to go in every quarter.

I think the rebounding will be an issue all season. I think they will get the defense fixed once everyone gets healthy.

While I agree with you guys we've also not had Horford to help with rebounding either. We do miss him badly & it shows. Hope he gets back on the floor soon.

One of the first things I see today is a Klay Thompson/Celtics rumor.

Too early in the season for this ****.

Abdel Nader D-League stat line through 4 games.

                          PTS 26.3 REB 3.3 AST 3.3

I know it's only the D-League, but he did show promise during the preseason. Worth keeping an eye on for a possible call up if the 2nd unit continues to struggle scoring points.

RJ Hunter was waived by Chicago today.

23rd overall pick Ante Zizic is on loan to Darussufaka Dogus of the Euroleague. Will be playing under head coach David Blatt. Step up in completion and playing for a latte should help in his development.

According to Austin Ainge both Zizic & Yabusele are expected to be with the C's next season.

Also, big game tonight against the Cavs, well regular season wise anyway. They barely beat us in early November, but we were without Horford and Crowder. The C's are 13-4 when IT4, Bradley, Crowder, Johnson and Horford start, so tonight should be a nice measuring stick to see where we are in the East.
