I kind of feel the same as you guys on Mudiay. I keep hearing comparisons to John Wall or Russell Westbrook but I don't see it. I watched him in those HS all star games and wasn't impressed at all, except for the 360 alley oop he had in the Jordan game. DX's recent breakdown makes me a little higher on him but he's the riskiest pick out of the top 4.

Russell has become my favorite guard prospect. He can score, shoot (outside and midrange) and pass which seems to be a rare combination for guys coming into the league. He's not as athletic as Mudiay or a lot of the current crop of guards but he's smooth and has good size.

Towns has been growing on me lately. Obviously Okafor is the most polished offensively but in the games I've watched, his defense leaves a lot to be desired. Towns can be hard to get a full scope because Kentucky platoons but he's much better defensively (2.3 bpg in 20 mpg!) and has shown inside and outside game on offense.

I do like Towns' upside. He might even be better suited for the Triangle than Okafor because he can nail midrange shots.

I just feel Okafor is that back-to-the-basket beast that we haven't had since Ewing.

I just miss the days of being able to dump the ball down into the post to a big.

I'm just scared that even if we have the worst record, we'll lose the #1 pick to Minnesota or the Lakers.

      I just get that feeling.

At worse, I want the #2 so we'd get either Okafor or Towns.

My guess is that the Lakers take Mudiay.

If the Lakers get top 2, I will wager they trade the draft rights to either big man that night.

Sixer's and Wolves don't need big men.

Although a frontcourt with Randle plus Towns/Okafor would be exciting.

Need the lottery to go in our favor.

Philly will take Okafor if they get the #1 pick. They can always move Noel or Embiid. Okafor has the highest ceiling and is the most skilled of the three - they'd be insane to pass on him. He's so far along for a 19 year old.

My opinion is Okafor is a stud in the low post on offense. However, I think going forward having a big who can protect the rim the Towns would be better suited for the team.

Re: The 2015 New York Knicks: Year 1 of Life "After" Dolan

His time here went by in the blink of an eye.

Waxing nostalgic, it seems like just yesterday when the news broke on 4th of July weekend in 2010. The first ball to drop in Donnie's big plan. Still remember that initial picture of him on the steps of the Garden in a suit and a Knicks hat, arms spread wide. "The Knicks are back". We still had a shot at LeBron at that point, in our own minds at least. The future was bright.

The first half of 2010-11 was the most exciting albeit brief period of Knicks basketball since the Ewing days. Forgetting about how sad that is in and of itself, it was a fun time to be a Knicks fan even though we were looking at the 7/8 seed. As a fanbase we hadn't come to completely loathe Pringles or Felton yet and we were playing an extremely entertaining brand of basketball. We still had cap space going into the following summer and could make a run at another star. But we all know what's happened since then...

While Amare was one of the worst rebounders and probably the worst help defender I have ever seen in the NBA I'll always respect him for his professionalism and work ethic. Sad that after all that hope and excitement, here we are five years later and we've won exactly one playoff series - over a dilapidated Celtics team at that.

Besides the 54-win season, the Knicks looked best when Amare first got here.

He was a leader. Vocal and on the court. He was putting up MVP numbers and we were winning.

I don't fault him for the knee injuries. The back injury from pregame dunks before the Celtics series and busting his hand against a fire extinguisher in Miami, yes. He let the team down in those instances.

But he's one of my all time favorite Knicks (Oak, Mase, Ewing, Houston).

He won me over when he said The Knicks are back.

Usually those high-priced Knick FAs took the money and didn't show up. He brought it as best as he could until #7 showed up.

Wish he could've went out a winner here. Hope he can land a ring somewhere now. He deserves a standing ovation if he ever shows back up at MSG.
