The guy really didn't sound all that impressed with it.
Slowdown on XBL, clunky interface, terrible career mode, easy AI...

      The score doesn't add up.

"Once, our boxer just stood there and didn't throw one punch the whole round, and the computer opponent landed about seven jabs and a hook and missed about 30 punches and caused no significant damage. That's just silly. Speaking of silly, it was no great challenge to knockout heavyweight Muhammad Ali in the fifth round, on hard, with featherweight Manny Pacquiao, even though the Filipino stallion is less than half the size of Ali."

        Yeah, that's not good.

Yeah, it doesnt add up. Also, it looks like Kudo "Mr. I dont take out features that were in previous versions" Tsunoda removed the rankings and made career mode more confusing.

I'm still buying it though. I just dont like that even hard difficulty seems easy. What I dont get is that the demo isnt overly easy, so why would the game be? Still, its IGN so I ll take the review with a grain of salt.

Exactly what I thought. I've played the demo...I like the demo...I'm willing to give this game a purchase because of the demo. Thank you for the XBL Marketplace.

The only thing that scares me is the slowdown on XBL. I'm almost certain that's where I'd be spending the majority of my playing time with FN R3.

Very true....as this game may very well be THE online game to play on live.

Why would they take out a ranking system? I dont really trust reviews and usually cannot master video games like some people can, but hearing about a weak AI scares me since I dont play online.

I'm surprised about what was said about the AI. The demo really isn't overly easy. I can't imagine them making it worse. Still can't wait to pick up this baby, though.

I'm more skeptical of this review now. I just tried what he did on the demo. I took Hopkins and just stood there. Jones threw 77 punches, threw a ton of hooks and uppercuts and only missed 1 punch.

Mediocre review or not I will still pick this one up for Xbox the first day it is available.

It sounds heinous! First of all, I play on PS2, but I mainly play single player, if the AI is that bad, the game has no value. Secondly, why would they take features out of career mode. I'll wait until I get some user feedback on this one.
