The score doesn't add up.

They were blown away by the graphics. And rightfully so. Sounds like as a game it's a step back from last year, which I loved. But graphically, it's beautiful.

THe problem with buying this one is if the game sucks, it's only fun to marvel at the graphics for a week. Then what?

Like we always say about OS reviews, it's just one man's opinion. Personally, i'm taking this with a grain of salt. That one test he did with the boxer just standing there....the aaron taking the DEMO and doing the same thing and getting drastically different results...Hmmmm.

I'm not running out on released day and dropping $60 anyhow. I'll wait til Fry's gets it on Thursday for 48.99 or go to BB and let them price match.

True, but understanding that this is their job, they can at least get a good 10-20 hours of gametime with each title. It can only take me about 3 or 4 hours and a simmed season to sum up a title and recognize obvious flaws that they can't.

Even so, NBA2K6 is a better gam on 360 than current gen. They should have noticed that a few hours into the game.

Peter is right and something doesn't add up because the demo I played on the PS2 I saw the CPU AI beat the crap out of me even when I tried to guard his punches.

I would be a shocked if the demo and final release went in opposite directions.

Me too.

The demo sold me, and I don't see how the final game could possibly be worse. Also I didn't play FNR 2, so the career mode will be new to me.

Besides the fact that they said the AI is atrocious, you can't even see the rankings or the current champ? Are you serious, a boxing game without rankings? For true spots fans like the people at OS, this is inexcusable. I am sure multi-player will be great, but I mainly play career mode. Imagine Hoops 2k6 without RPI, a tournament, and horrible single AI with no way to tweak it......I digress.

I agree. I too, would've picked it up first day but other places selling it cheaper....Who said the extra $10 wouldn't have an effect.

I am still getting the game, but "the opinion of a reviewer should not affect your decision" crap makes no sense. Not having rankings is a fact, not an opinion. Putting no effort into single player is a fact. I never want anything bad to happen to people, but when you read about profit losses and other company woes, it is hard to feel really sorry for EA. In the past 5 years, they have absolutely taken a nose dive into the crapper.

Worse case scenario, this holds me over until Burnout and TC GRAW. With the Fry's PM, if the multiplayer can't hold it by itself, I can get my money back on ebay.

I know it's IGN, but what I read, there a few things missing that may make the game stale for me. I don't know, I have the game piad in Full, but I'm second guessing now. I may just rent and hold on to the money. I loike playing career mode, and they said it basicly unchaged, that hurts for me, I don't wanna just play a bare career mode. I'm not droping $60 on a gme that will get boring to fast.

it was no great challenge to knockout heavyweight Muhammad Ali in the fifth round, on hard, with featherweight Manny Pacquiao, even though the Filipino stallion is less than half the size of Ali.

that part did hurt, all this time I thought they trying to make this the best bxoing game, now I think they were just making A boxing game. Oh well better luck next year.
