yeah, If it gets some good reviews from the people here I may get it......but I will wait for some reviews first. Not sure why IGN gave it such a high score though.

I don't think it's his opinion that Manny Pacquiaot knocked out Muhammad Ali in the 5th, I think he did it. So I'm not sure what you mean.

The IGN review also stated it looked amazing in 1080p. Really IGN? Funny, the 360 doens't even support 1080p.

When they do not put any effort whatsoever in a career mode, it is natural to think some people will not spend $60 on it. The A.I. may or may not be an opinion, but having no career mode whatsoever, no rankings, and having no idea who the champ is can be a game killer to some people. Not everyone is online and some people avoid sports games online because of cheesers. So, there are certain things in that review that cannot be changed.

The A.I. may or may not be an opinion, but having no career mode whatsoever, no rankings, and having no idea who the champ is can be a game killer to some people. Not everyone is online and some people avoid sports games online because of cheesers. So, there are certain things in that review that cannot be changed.

All I know is I'll wait to form my own opinions of it or at least listen to other's on here. The reviewer gave NBA2K6 a 7.6 and College Hoops a 8.3...also gave MLB2K5 an 8.5. So, he doesn't seem to agree with games I like anyway as NBA and College hoops are both 9's at least to me and MLB is a 3 or so.

So you're going to purchase this game off of what then? Your own preminision?
So far every single review, preview and interview with Kudo himself has said the same things. The career mode is flat and boring and the gameplay is basically the same with a few more unrealistic punches added.

You go ahead and throw down $60.00 on a game you haven't seen or played then. I'm sure these guys that are saying they are passing on the game will still end up renting it, but they will no longer be blind sheep and throw their hard earned money at a company that is giving us boxing fans the finger.
Guarenteed if Take Two made a boxing game, Kudo and the Gang would sharpen up and actually try to make a realistic game. Until then, our requests will go unheard while the Fight Night series slowly transforms into Ready To Rumble.

If anything I think we should put some weight to what IGN is saying. They could be the biggest EA whore on the planet so if they're bashing the game you know it has it's issues.

P.S. The fact that Muhammed Ali got KO'd should turn people off let alone that it happened at the hands of a man that is small even in jockey standards. Ali was never stopped once in his career and yet anyone can do it in this series with any fighter. That in itself is a joke.

As an Xbox owner, nothing mentioned in this review (or anywhere else) really makes me want to get Round 3. I want to be excited about R3, but as an Xbox owner, what do I have to look forward to? Graphic upgrade is minimal, career mode is bland, sound took a hit. Then they throw in dumb stuff like the Burger King mascot. Doesn't sound too good for me.

I would think he's either exaggerating the fact, meaning he hung in there against Ali with Pac-man. Or played an earlier version.

Or the guy guy is a great, great player (even though I think he says he isn't.)

Because if the game is this easy on the hardest difficulty, it's broken.

people forget that there was a demo and how amazing it was. People were ready to pay money for that version of the game.

People were also going ga-ga over Round 2's demo. But then after people had about a week of the full version there were threads flooding the web complaining about certain aspects of the gameplay.
IGN hasn't made it a secret that they loved the demo too. In fact I remember an article they posted saying that the demo was the main game that everyone was playing over there and clamouring to get in on.
So to me, it's obvious that, to this reviewer that the honeymoon period has warn off and he's not too impressed with the final product.

that part did hurt, all this time I thought they trying to make this the best bxoing game, now I think they were just making A boxing game. Oh well better luck next year.

I think my money is going to mlb06: the show this month instead.

I thought the same thing. Sad. Anyways I still cannot beat B Hop with Jones although I havent tried it as much lately since I have been busy so for me I cannot see it being that easy. I more than likely will get it, but the ranking thing still irks me. It makes no sense.

Actually every review and preview except for IGN has praised this game. Now you and a few others have said that the career mode is flat and you hate the new impact punches but that doesnt make it a fact. Thats an opinion that some people agree with and some dont.

I'm buying the game because I have played the demo a ton of time and at the least I expect the game to be on the same level as the demo. Also because I love boxing games and the Fight Night series has done a decent job with that the last two times out. If the AI sucks and the game is laggy online, then I will sell it on Ebay for the around the same price, so it will be the cost of a rental.

Exactly, if that is really as easy as he says then EA needs to delay the game and release it later. They had an excuse for releasing subpar versions of Live and Madden because they had to release it at launch but there is no launch window to meet here.
