In terms of skill technique and heart at this point in their careers. Pacquiao is head and shoulders above DLH. Unfortunately for Pacman, he's extremely undersized in comparison and has a HUGE disadvantage in this fight.
Delahoya is shrinking to make weight and Pacman is blowing himself up. What are they 3-4 weight classes apart??
I predict a similar result to the DLH vs Hopkins fight, except this time the smaller overwhelmed fighter will be Pacquiao instead of Delahoya.

But Im a big fan of Pacquiao and will be rooting for him and would love to see him knock DLH out. I just wouldn't put money on it.

99 times out of a 100 a skilled big always beats a skilled little. And Oscar is bigger, stronger, and more skilled. But I have zero faith in his ability to fight a 12 round, perfect gameplan fight. I am going against all convential wisdom and I think Pacquiao wins a close UD.

Anyone catch the weighin? The vid is up on ESPN. Manny came in at 142, DLH at 145. DLH anticipated 150 at fight time. I'm not worried about Manny, I think he was fighting at 143 (could be wrong) against David Diaz.

The height difference isn't as big as I thought it would be, but the reach advantage still worries me.

That said, after seeing them stand toe to toe, I'm feeling a bit better about Pacman's chances. If Manny can show he can take a flush hit from DLH, I have him by decision after 12.

            Awesome shirt man.

Being a big fan and a Filipino, I gotta go root for Pacquiao. There is no doubt that the odds are against him and conventional wisdom says DLH wins this by TKO, UD, whatever. Even so, upsets happen once-in-awhile. I'm hoping we witness something special come fight night.

And hey, like Freddie Roach said in 24/7, "The world would be a boring place if upsets don't happen."

Pacman in 8. (At least, that's what I'm hoping for.)

A KO by Pacman will be the only outcome that will shock me. To this point, other than a perfectly placed (or lucky) liver shot, Oscar is UN-KOable. Pacman has shown he can be hurt much more than Oscar ever has. But, I am still going with Oscar's complacency, Pac's workrate and awkwardness as the differences in the fight.

Agreed. In the Immortal Words of PBF: "There's two things we know about Oscar. 1) He gets tired, and 2) He makes mistakes."

Hope Pacman wins by UD in 12. He will definitely engage. It will be interesting to see if his power remains against a bigger fighter. Should be exciting.

HBO scales have DLH at 147 and Pacman at 148.

                          terrible undercard.

for those wondering about online, sopcast has been perfect for me so far. Zero lag, the resolution isn't the best, but it's not that bad either.

just finishing anthems now before DLH and Pack enter.

I wish more americans would demand the anthem sung in tune, and using the actual notes.

fireworks already. Manny is incredibly fast, it's freakish, DLH looks slow, but his jab looks great imo

Same here. Sopcast is running smoothly.

                                Pacquiao looks much quicker.
