I didn't buy it. I was surprised at Pac Man winning that easily.

Filipinos here in the Philippines goes Nuts after the stoppage...as I said before Oscar Dela Hoya is Overrated and i think the right matchup for Pacman is either Mayweather and Margarito, I think they shouldnt at this point put a Pacman vs Hatton cause it will not make sense, cause Pacman will be the Favorite and would handily destroy Hatton. Hatton is a perfect opponent for Pacman cause he's style is pretty much the same as David Diaz and we know what happened to Diaz. I also think it will not be as marketable if Pacman will be the favorite coming off to his fights, people want to see Pacman as the underdog everytime he fights cause of his Rocky Balboa Aura

Based on the few comments, I truly hope this doesn't turn into a PBF bashing thread. The man has accomplishments and is retired at the moment. This should be about Pacman's accomplishment tonight and his (hopefully) ending DLH's career. No real reason for DLH to fight again, though i wouldn't be surprised if he and RJJ ended up in some fight together. Admittedly, it would be a trainwreck and I hope both retire and stay that way.

But again, props to Pacman and his dominant victory. Didn't see it THAT way, but glad he won...
People just want to see PBF lose. Many were hoping Hatton could beat him. Now it looks like Pacman is their next hope. Would PBF be wise to take on Pac? or would he be chicken not to?

I personally think PBF would win.

I'm with you in saying that PBF would win, but I really want to see that fight. I have no doubts that Pacman would beat Hatton. Pacquiao vs. Mayweather is the fight I want to see, and I hope the money is there to get that done.

I thought Oscar would win tonight, but damn Pacquiao impressed me. He was great out there and Oscar just looked washed up. Great fight by Manny.

If there's a way Mayweather would win against Pacman is when he will hit a punch he would run for about 1 min. then hit Pacman again, and do it the whole fight which is the typical Mayweather style , Mayweather is a ***** and thus Pacman will Break Him, remember the De la Hoya vs Mayweather fight?, many thought Oscar won that fight and we know what Manny did to Oscar

I root passionately for Mayweather to lose any fight he's in, but I didn't think for a second that Oscar beat him.

I didn't think it was gonna end the way it did but I like the outcome. I really hope De La Hoya hangs up the gloves after this one. It's sad for me to see a fighter of his caliber get completely dominated like he did tonight.

I'd love to see Pacman vs. Mayweather. He's in his prime so he might as well go for the best fighter available.

A older fighter that once was quick and powerful lost to a young quick and powerful fighter. This end the golden boy era. He will fight again but not as the golden boy but as a fighter trying to recapture what no old fighter ever capture... youth.

Now he knows how Chavez, Pernell, Hector and all those fighters he fought when he was coming up and they were in their slow decline. Still kind of sad seeing the fighter that really didn't need to fight stay a fight too long.

                    Peace

Bottom line, Oscar saw his best days as a lightweight-junior welterweight. When push came to shove he lost too many big fights. He has not been a great fighter for years.

I think PBF/Pac would be the highest grossing PPV fight ever.

That's a clear Pick Em to me.

I'd be rooting for PBF, but damn!

that's not PBF's style against pacquiao......that's his style for his career....a reason why he won't be revered and considered an all time great by many.

Manny the mexicutioner!! Pacman was on fruitmode the entire fight!

I was very surprised on the outcome, I really thought this was going to be Pacquiao's most challenging fight. I got to give Juan Manuel Marquez props for being the only fighter to figure out Manny in the last 5 years.

I would love to see a Margarito or Hatton fight next, and hope PBF comes out of retirement and takes on a warm up match, then fight of the century; Pac vs PBF.

This would be the most challenging fight that the two has ever faced. I think they are equal in speed, while Manny has the power and PBF has the elusiveness. That will the true dream match and hopefully be up there with Sugar Ray and Hearns fight.

If Manny win's that, there's no doubt he's one of the greatest to ever step in the ring. He can retire after that and become President of The Philippines.

                              Pacquiao = GOD

What a performance...lightning quick punching, turning Oscar at will, and getting in and out perfectly. It was a great gameplan from Roach and Pac followed it to a T, complete and utter domination.

I actually thought the fight should've been stopped in the 7th and I think it was really close...shocked Oscar didn't go down at least once.

It'll be interesting to see where Pac goes from here...you know it HAS to be eating at Floyd to see Pac get all this run about being the P4P best (which he is) and being the new face of boxing pretty much and the new money making machine. Also, Pac dominated Oscar while Floyd was just able to get a decision out of it, you know that isn't sitting well with him either lol.

I can see that fight going down but if not, it'll be Pacquiao vs. Hatton...Pacquiao talked about it after the fight and is willing to do it. I think that would be an interesting fight as well.

I predicted Pac to win because of Oscar's inability to fight the right gameplan, but I don't anyone predicted what happened last night. Pac, flat out, beat the heck out of Oscar. But the most impressive thing about the beatdown was Pac and Roach crafted a flawless gameplan and executed it perfectly. I would have liked to have seen ODLH get knocked out, but quitting on his stool was the right thing to do. And too many people are trying to discredit Pac's win by saying Oscar was over the hill....nonsense. Oscar is on the decline, but last night was a product of a superior fighter fighting an absolutely brilliant fight.

Hopefully Arum and Roach do what they should do with Pac...leave him at this weight. Pac gains nothing by going back and fighting the midgets. He needs to beat Hatton, which it will be more competitive than last night but still an easy win for Pac, and then go through every single fighter south of 159. Pac should fight everyone except for Paul Williams. Other than Williams, there isn't a fighter I would pick against Pac.

PBF? I will be shocked if he ever fights Pac now. Pac just absolutely destroyed a fighter that PBF pretty much fought to a close victory. I don't think there is a lightweight that would ever beat PBF, who I think is the best of all-time at lightweight, but anything north of 135, and PBF is a fraud...nothing more than a good fighter.

And Oscar overrated? That is funny.
