Honestly I am guessing it has something to do with the design of the game which prevents them from fixing this. Some constraint which does not allow it to be fixed or it will break entire game or a certain part.

Granted this is just be guessing entirely, but there HAS to be a main reason for them "Not fixing it" other than they just won't. Has to be bigger than that.

This reminds me of NCAA 11. Some things were broken and simply couldn't be patched without breaking other parts of the game.

So this seems to be the case here.

        Fixed......

Every time I see EA and Patch in the same sentence I get that horrible Paula Abdul song stuck in my head....

I was playing at midnight last night and the stamina slider was not working on the 360 version.

On the PS3 they all work to some degree, though a brawler AI fighter will still go non-stop. Even with punch accuracy at zero the CPU counts every grazing little punch and I have seen those infamous grazing 1 hit KO's. I use the following setup at the moment using the simulation setting (no flash for counters):

                Pro
                Ref Sliders - 10
                Power - 4
                Speed - 3
                Damage - 7
                Toughness - 0
                Stamina - 0
                Accuracy - 0
                Cntr Window - 0
                CPU AI - both 5
                Punch Output - 2

I get a good variety and much like last year connect rates are an issue offline just like online. My legacy fighter has a 20 rated hook and in his fifty fights there's been two one hit quitters. Most are flash knockdowns and I follow and pressure to get the finishing one.

The CPU has some teeth on these though. Hope you guys like them.

                  Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread

Just used these sliders and had a great fight, aside from the fact that I lost. I was using Marvin Hagler and fought against Kelly Pavlik. Though I was knocked out in the 6th round, the judge's cards were close. I was winning according to the second judge (by 2) and we were tied by the first and third cards. I felt as though I was competitive for the entire fight and only lost because Pavlik got in some good shots. I was horrible in FN: R4 but now I feel like I have a chance at winning and actually hitting my opponent.

                    2 or 3 minute rounds?

I used 3 minute rounds. BTW, I have yet to win using these sliders. I might be competitive but I'm not winning. I feel like the Buffalo Bills during the early 90's.

I use 2 minute. Just fought in legacy and waaaay too many punches. Might need to drop it a click.

Your toughness sliders are terrible. High level elite boxers getting rocked from 1 flush punch. A guy like Hagler who had a legendary chin shouldn't be getting rocked with 1 good punch. Brother took everything Hearns had to offer and still didn't go down. I'd leave it at default, it's different for guys that had notoriously soft chins. But I'm knocking out guys like Hagler, Ali, Foreman way too easily in early rounds. Not sure if its different in Legacy mode but for just Fight Now the toughness slider is totally off. Besides that the rest of them are pretty solid. I'd consider upping the cpu AI, they aren't that smart at Pro default setting.

It would have been nice to have an Offline Gym, where you could set up a season/tourney with available real fighters and CABS.

I'd lower power instead of raising toughness. More power = breaking through the guard too fast. You are probably right though...too extreme.

Update - Adjusted a couple of things. Let me know what you think. Been testing in Fight now vs. CABs so these will be ratings based.
