i always seem to lose by a late knockout no matter what.. ill be up by 5 or so on the cards and bang.. or sometimes i just get caught real quick. and i don even try to get up after the second time because the effort for doing so is fruitless

Me too. my last fight that i was fighting in the legacy I am using Hearns and it was a tough fight. I knocked the comp down once and he knocked me down once. I was going into the last round and i was leading on most of the rounds and I stunned the comp a couple of times in the round and then he knocked me out with a flask ko in the last minute. Highly frustrating.

I agree, it's tough at times, but that's what I love about this set - it's not an instant W. I keep my hands up at all times, something I learned the hard way. I also learned to make sure I don't punch myself out and work the body, be patient and don't always go for the KO in every fight (waiting for a stun instead). I play on Pro, which limits rubber band AI BS and perfect blocks by CPU. It's nice to lose straight up for once though, to be honest.

In the earlier parts of the legacy it is, but once you get to the top 10-15 you really need to watch yourself. you can't just sit back and wait for the counter chances, you have to really make sure you don't leave yourself open. because of the low stamina setting.

Update, I fought the champ in my LHW to HW Legacy. I was 23-1 with 23 KO's with a 5'8", 74" reach fighter. I am a 90 OVR guy, the champ 89. I lost in the 9th round by KO. I landed 42% of my punches, he landed 60% of his. This is on PRO...not a typo, PRO with the above sliders. I don't get countered off the 'perfect block' much, mostly on side steps and head movement. I'm actually thinking of lowering the speed a click or two to see how it works as far as CPU defense and connect percentages.

On a side note, when I get to HW I am going to post a vid of my 5'8" guy versus a 6'8" guy, should be interesting, lol.

This set is a blast so far. It's hard for me to counter due to the speed and I don't get countered much. The CPU punches in bunches due to the stamina t two. We both average about 50 a round.

Acts2, very good job on those sliders. I'm using them in my legacy. They run nicely. I love the stamina fix too. This is really a great game with the right sliders.

I took Parker and acts2 earlier sliders and made some minor tweaks...I've been getting some really good fights with these in Fight Now...

These sliders do a great job rewarding patience and superior boxing skill over recklessness...I like playing with No HUD because it forces you to have a feel for your boxer and the fight...You can't see your health, stamina or block meter which causes you to be more cautious and pick your punches better...This helps because you can't be reckless with these settings...Even though the DEF AI is on 0 the CPU defensively still does a fair amount of countering so if you punch yourself out and get caught or walk into a power punch you'll hit the canvas...

I should note these sliders work best with two human players...My fights against the CPU even though they're competitive usually go anywhere from 5 to 10 rounds usually ending in a stoppage...

I can't say enough how enjoyable Shaun's sliders are. I fought my last fight and got exposed for getting lazy. I was winning my rounds, knocked him down, went into the next round and got flashed. The reason why is because I got punch heavy. My stamina dropped, he pursued me and nailed me with an uppercut.

Why I like this set most is because you are never guaranteed a win. Even if you knock your opponent down, you have to stick to your game and not get sloppy. I have to give EA credit for adding the sliders too. This is one of the most enjoyable sports games I have played.

And this is almost a year after the game's release.

I'm getting insanely good fights on PRO with the following:

The CPU utilizes head movement very well and boxes very well, but not mindlessly. With speed at ten getting stunned is a very tough predicament with the 100 percent stamina boost from a stun, both to the CPU and the human player. When you get slow you have to be careful, because because when you are drawing back a punch square to the grill means a flash KD/KO. I get about the usual amount of KD's/KO's, but there are mor of the flash variety, including to the gut.

Working the body is rewarded quite a bit as well and with the difficulty on Pro the perfect block is not as prevalent. I love these. They aren't the most sim, but this game isn't a great sim as far as connect percentages or that gimmicky and stupid perfect block/Parry 2.0. These do well on Champion as well, but I suggest a punch output of 5 and a DEF AI of zero if you like to jab. Let me know what you guys think!

What are some good champion sliders where the cpu doesn't block everything..I like shauns sliders on pro, but my stamina, damage never diminish as it looks like I get too many points to refill in between rounds.

Glad you guys like the sliders! Reignmaka fron the EA forums had a sililar set, but all the fights ended in KO's before round 4 or 5.

Unfortunately on Champion the counter/blocking cheese is ramped up. If you want to lose more stamina just lower the stamina some more and to get a lower connect percentage from the CPU just lower speed to 8 or 9.

I upped stamina just two notches on Shaun's sliders because I was noticng that the CPU would get tired and step back too often. After doing that, I got my first Draw ever. Here's the results...

Alright EA. I just fought some guy online (opponent PSN ID: K12iS) who has pretty good skills but used some dirty tactics to pull out the win. He dominated me the first 2 rounds, the next 3 rounds were mine after I figured out his game plan. In the 6th round, this is when things started to get interesting. We were slugging it out, when all of sudden this guy hit me with a low blow and instantly followed it with a head butt. Then he followed that with a right hook that put me on the canvas. It happened so fast that the ref and the announcer didnt have time to respond to it. That should have been an instant disqualification right there, but nope. I am knocked out and cant get up at all. Man, I was furious.
